Who would ever want to see HER exposed? Really..
Right on. I listen to her on a regular basis, I've even bought some of her books because of what she says. But it sickens me greatly that she only gives 10% and the rest goes in her pocket. She doesn't give royalties to those that help her write books which are more about common sense with a little bible thrown in. I've seen programs where she is wearing golf-ball sized jewelry that must have cost a quarter of a million dollars or maybe more. There is NO need for this stuff. So I give her the bare minimum for what I buy, what the shipping is because I know the money doesn't go to the poor like me. I'd rather give to the Benedictine monks and sisters who actually do work with the poor, don't have extravagant lifestyles and follow what Jesus says. Yes, it's ok for her to have "some" but $950,000 for her wages,$450,000 for her husband's, the ministry pays ALL of their bills plus buys their children million dollar homes and her husband drives a $125,000 car. Why not drive a good used car? Set an example. Where is any of THAT in the Bible?

It sickens me because her name is everywhere, all these books she has people buy in foreign countries and they don't know about her because they're in a poor country w/o internet access or don't know how to find out she doesn't pay taxes to the county she lives in. Many people want Jesus' name out there but not every one has to buy HER special Bible, her daily devotional, her tapes, her this or that always with HER name. I believe God had something to say about PRIDE, Joyce. Nor am I envious. I don't want all the fancy stuff, just to live with a car that drives, a house that is repaired, etc. God has been kind to me and while I want to have people know my name, it's because I want to know there was a reason I lived not about pride and having everybody buy this or that.

1 Timothy 3:1-7
1 This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
__________
Titus 1:5-9
5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.
This is what the Pharisees, Saducees, etc. would have people believe--that women are less than men in value, property more than human beings. I do not have problems with her because she's a woman, of if she was divorced, or any of that petty stuff--that's taking it too far. Some of this was the old Jewish beliefs that women were less than men and why Jesus came to change all the rules. Jesus considered women equal or he never would have had Mary Magdalene in His ministry, plus His Mother, the other Mary, etc. It would have been ALL men period like the Jewish religious leaders yet He didn't do that. I just have a problem with her obsession with money and extravagance, failure to pay royalties, necessity to get her name out everywhere, etc. I like hearing her but I don't want to donate to her fancy living expenses. I'd rather help the poor directly and not have my name known that I'm doing it. That is what the Bible actually says. I'd love to hear what one of her assistants who really know her have to say.

Joyce Meyer does give a lot of her money away.. and help those less fortunate. God would not allow her to reach as many people as she does and bless her ministry if she was doing that. I think some people are very jealous of her success and need to be careful before making judgements without merit. If there is merit to the claims and she is doing something wrong then she will have to face God so stop with these rumors and let's focus on fact...the only thing we know now as fact is that Joyce Meyer Ministry's is financially successful and yes Joyce is profiting but she does work for that money by giving of herself to help others. This is America so she is innocent until proving guilty.
God gave Satan dominion over the earth. We all have Free Will and He allows us to do whatever including murder. You really are clueless if you think God sanctions extravagance in his name when so many are going without. Benny Hinn was setting up "fake" healings and a pastor I know saw this first hand. He was shocked and appalled. God allowed THAT. Jim and Tammy Bakker fooled many people and told advantage of the Word to get tons of money. God allowed that too.

Joyce DOES give a whopping 10% and that's IT, no more even though she could well afford to do so. You should do your research. She could give so much more money to help the poor but she doesn't. Instead she buys golf-ball sized real jewels that she wears on TV when that money could go for food, clothing, homes--she controls the Ministry so of course they sanction what she does. She doesn't need a $125,000 car for her husband to drive or her children living in paid-for million dollar homes plus ALL her expenses paid for by her Ministry which is money from people like us. She could teach just as well without all the fancy b.s. while building homes for people who lost theirs from natural disasters instead of wearing $250,000 jewels or buy a lear jet instead of taking commercial flights where she could witness to so many more people. I like what she says but her lifestyle is appalling. The people in her own County are appalled. She won't pay taxes to her own County. Many need the jobs but they don't get paid royalties for the stuff they write, it's all in HER name.

1 Timothy, chapter 2
Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle,(I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Corinthians, chapter 14
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

Do you see all these women on Christian television claiming to be

preachers and pastors and bishops and

prophets and

evangelist

and

whatever else they claim?

And they do it all the while saying that the bible is the word of God.

Look up there and read in the bible what it says about them.

Do you read all the posts on all these christian web sites that these women that claim the bible is the word of God?

Yet there they are doing exactly as what is written in the bible said for them not to do.

THEY ARE NOT WOMEN OF GOD.

And these men that encourage them and tempt them and provoke them to disobey the word of God.

THEY WILL BE A PARTAKER OF THOSE SINS OF THESE DISOBEDIENT WOMEN ON THEIR DAY OF JUDGEMENT.

Joyce Meyer—Since 1999, Joyce Meyer’s ministry has spent at least $4 million on 5 homes for Meyer and her children. Meyer’s house is a 10,000 square foot home with an 8-car garage, a large fountain, a gazebo, a private putting green, a pool, and pool house with a new $10,000 bathroom. Her salary was reported at $900,000 back in 2003, and she also enjoys use of a private jet and luxury cars. Needless to say, Meyer has been questioned for years, and she is once again under investigation by the government for possibly violating nonprofit laws.

When you think of the mega-wealthy who rake in millions each year and live ridiculously lavish lifestyles, you probably don’t think about preachers.

But as you’re about to find out, spreading the gospel has become a very profitable business for several well-known televangelists, affording them the opportunity to live in mansions, own private jets, take exotic trips, relax in hotel rooms that cost thousands per night, and even own second and third homes.

Of course, these preachers are heads over nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, so whenever one of them starts to flaunt their wealth, the government is going to take notice. Over the course of the past 3 years, the Senate has been investigating 6 of the wealthiest televangelists to ensure they aren’t taking advantage of their nonprofit status.

The investigation has yet to be resolved—it’s safe to say Congress has more pressing matters—but we’re going to share some of the most interesting financial data for each of these televangelists so you can decide if you think these organizations are in violation.

Nonprofit guidelines for churches

Before we talk about the preachers under federal investigation, let’s take a look at some of the laws applicable to churches and religious organizations.

According to the IRS tax guidelines for churches, there are several things a church can do to jeopardize its tax-exempt status.

–Churches net earnings may not inure to any private shareholder or individual

–They must not provide a substantial benefit to private interests

–All tax-exempt organizations must maintain books of accounting to justify their claim for exemption in the event of an audit. In other words, they need to have specific records of where all the money is going.

whoa, back up there Jax, men and women are not equal
and that's not to say women are less of value to God.
women are the weaker vessel, and God does not call women to preach, he calls men, they are to be the husband of one wife. twisting and turning around of scripture is the scheme of another we all know. hmm
women are allowed to sing and they can prophesy.
deacons have the same set of rules too. to be the husband of one wife. not the wife of one husband

Joyce Meyer is a degenerate pulpit pimp who exploits the gospel for personal gain.
It has always been God's will that the church (the Body of Christ) should take care of it's own.
2 Corinthians 8:12-15 For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a man has, not according to what he has not. I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened, but that as a matter of equality your abundance at the present time should supply their want, so that their abundance may supply your want, that there may be equality. As it is written, "He who gathered much had nothing over, and he who gathered little had no lack."
If you are a victim of Joyce Meyer or another one of these hucksters, go to God in prayer.
For God is a Righteous Judge. He will give you justice.
Do not worry about what others think about you.
Proverbs 19:1 Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a man who is perverse in speech, and is a fool.
Many who have much in this life will loose all of it and be cast into the Lake of Fire.
Many who have nothing in this life will gain everything and enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
1 Corinthians 1:26-31 For consider your call, brethren; not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth; but God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong, God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God made our wisdom, our righteousness and sanctification and redemption; therefore, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast of the Lord."
this is just another get rich quick scheme she thought up shame on her husband for allowing it.

As to the money she does or doesn't have well that is between her and God IMO.
