If we knew for sure Jesus was black, ...

If we knew for sure Jesus was black, would he still be worshipped?

All original depictions of Christ show him as a black man, which would make sense since he is from the tribe of Judah and they were all black as well.

His hair was like wool and skin like bronze, yet we have a blonde haired blue eyed white guy hanging on peoples walls.

National geographic did a special once showing that Marys was more than likely black.

Where did Joseph and Mary take Jesus to escape as they sought to hide from Herod?" They went to a place where they could blend in and not stand out: Egypt, known for its people of color.

So if the Vatican released the original depiction of him that shows he was black, do you think many would still worship a black messiah?

..... Have a look at the Catacombs in Italy. There are various pictures on the walls.
..... In general those who are different are likely to be hated, not worshipped.
..... Jesus was a Jew living in Palestine; I have never read anything about people living there being black.
..... Worshipping is not enough; follow the lifestyle and teachings of Jesus, ignoring all others.

Objections to talking about His race are made only if you suggest He was black. If you go along with the effeminate, straight haired & blue-eye one then all is considered well.

Stiil, how dare you say His hair was like wool. Did you get that from Rev 1:14 by any chance & isn't that the Bible? Next you'll be saying Moses too was black. I bet you'll also say when Miriam was cursed her skin turned white which means she must have been black. Again you'll claim you read it in the Bible (Numbers 12:10). What are you like you?

But every fact I stated was real, so it is a good 80-90% change Jesus was a black man or a dark brown skinned man.

Moses was black. Ex 4:6 proves it since if he were white he could not have pulled his hand out of its clock and it chocked the people that his hand came out white. He clearly had to be a man of color for his hand to come out white and shock the people.

Exodus 4:6-8
6 Furthermore the Lord said to him,“Now put your hand in your bosom.” And he put his hand in his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, like snow. 7 And He said,“Put your hand in your bosom again.” So he put his hand in his bosom again, and drew it out of his bosom, and behold, it was restored like his other flesh. 8 “Then it will be, if they do not believe you, nor heed the message of the first sign, that they may believe the message of the latter sign.

Boy, if you take away the European roost and how Europe whitewashed the bible, people get all up in arms with the fact that their savior could actually be a black man. You can provide the hard cold facts and they will deny it and call you racist.

If Jesus color doesnt matter, how about we put back up the original depictions of him when he was a black man since people form that area were in fact black..

You cant deny one blaring clue here

Where did Joseph and Mary take Jesus to escape as they sought to hide from Herod?" They went to a place where they could blend in and not stand out: Egypt, known for its people of color.

Jesus was a Semite. An Asian, not African.

Jesus may have been black, who knows? There is very little known about Jesus and his life and the NT cannot be trusted because it was written generations later, and not by Jesus I might add. Adam was definitely black, and we all came from him. Dark pigment is dominant whereas light pigment is recessive. ie fair skin, blond hair, and blue eyes. You can get the recessive from the dominant, but not the dominant from the recessive. Therefore Adam the serpent had to have been black. But he's been reincarnated and this time is white. But who cares? Both the wicked and the righteous come in all races, creeds, and colors.

I agree the color shouldn't matter since his life an what he did on the cross matters more, but when you tell people to look at the historical facts and evidence that shows he was more than likely a black man, white people loose their minds that they might actually be worshiping a black savior.

If the color doest matter, I think the Vatican should release one of the 1st and accurate depictions of Jesus that shows his true color.

Or may be it's a question of colour is acceptable as long as it's not black.

Racist! Jesus is a Jew.

Luke 23:3 (NKJV)
3 Then Pilate asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered him and said, "It is as you say."

The race of Jesus doesn't matter, so why focus on it?

Egypt wasn't majority black when Jesus was there because it had already been conquered by Greece and Roman Empire.

If Jesus was white, would you worship Him?

Yes or No
