god’s love

During existence, one usually harbors feelings of love towards someone or something.“Love” describes feelings of fondness, deep affection, high preference and/or enjoyment. One can love anything or anyone. Sometimes love is a virtue. For example, a love for exercise or knowledge tends to benefit a person. Sometimes love is harmful. A love for drugs or crime may be destructive. Reasons for love are obvious. Someone loves whatever supports his/her cause. Realistically, people do not love that which contradicts their own interests. One must remember the definition of love (fondness, preference) to accept these facts. So if a person’s objective is to stay healthy, he/she does not love to smoke. If a person’s objective is to have fun, he/she loves to hangout and play.

Our Creator is also One who loves. A prevalent myth throughout the world is that the god of Islam (Submission) is not a loving god. This idea has no basis in truth. First, the concept of a "god of Islam" is wrong, as God of Islam (Submission) is the same God of all the human beings, whether they call themselves Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists...etc. Second, since the Quran is the only scripture upheld by true Islam (Submission), and is considered the true word of God, we can look to the Quran to see whether God (of Islam and all other religions) is a loving god or not.

According to the Holy Quran, the love of God is expressed and emphasized many times over, throughout the book. God loves: the charitable; the righteous, those who fulfill obligations ; the steadfast ; the good doers ; those who trust Him ; the benevolent ; those who purify themselves ; the equitable ; the just ; those who are clean ; and those who fight in his cause united in one column, like bricks in one wall . These values earn God’s love because they support His cause, guarantee a peaceful, loving and responsible community of believers who encourage each other to be righteous, care for the poor, the relative, the orphans, the neighbors, the traveling aliens and each other. Please note that if God willed, everyone would support His cause and earn His love, but the Most Gracious provides us with freedom, a freedom we, the humans asked for and which was granted to us. People who do not support God and spread corruption on earth, do not earn His love that was offered to them by following simple and clear commandments. They cannot get closer to God on the Last Day. Being away from God is, what will be Hell to these people. God does not put a single person in Hell. On the contrary, God put in our way many reasons to find Him, love Him, follow His message and be close to Him on the Last Day (Heaven). Because of our freedom (which is a gift) we are the ones who make the choice whether we go to Heaven or Hell.

Thank you for sharing your religion and thinking and how you have described it in this, to my opinion, sound and healthy way!

Our love and passions for persons, ideas and things is something fundamental to every one of us and it is essential for our survival and also for society as a whole.

When love turns into addiction, then it becomes enslavement; it isn’t love anymore.

We have to face four different situations in life;

What we love to do and what we should do.

What we need to do regardless.

What we shouldn’t do and we don’t need to do.

What happens regardless and we can’t avoid it anyway.

What we should be focused on are the two first out of these four and we must have the other two in mind and be prepared, that is where the traps are hidden.

We are all under a law greater than us, which go for religious believers and atheists all together, what name we prefer to give for it doesn’t matter when it comes to this fundamental of reality.
The silly thing about modern man is that we believe that we are technologically liberated from the greater laws of the universe; we might think that we are in control.

We must be respectful and humble to what is greater than us and not to try to force our way towards the impossible and destructive.

I whollly disagree with this idea of equating an addiction with what we deem love. It does nothing to truly address what addiction IS, and instead makes it sound like an emotional reaction to something that is biological in nature. One can "let go" of "love" - as hard as it might be if its a person, or even a favorite food (which is not real love as we so often abuse the term)- but addictions can not just be let go of...there are 1. biological conditions to deal with (a drunk/addict can die from a sudden attempt at going cold turkey/detox on their own) 2. there are typically deep root causes of severe addictions, 3. picking up the pieces from addiction are also typically not so easy as losing a relationship, or letting go of bad food choices, etc.

An addict can pray all they want for help from the divine, but at the end of the day its a real physical effort - often with the help of professionals - that frees the addict, not these ethereal ideas and beseeching a supernatural being.

Id say 1 and 2 are the same, so lets shorten this to; "Most of the time I do what I have to, the rest I can do what I want"

Isn't 3 just redundant?

And 4 is more popularly expressed as, Sh/t happens!

5. Exactly what is this Greater Law...? You make it sound like there's some sort of "enforcement" mechanism behind it, perhaps an entity of some sort? Yes/no?

I think the name we give to it is important - as saying its a God/s is wholly different and creates a whole other set of mind based conditions based on ones beliefs revolving around Gods.

Calling it God versus say Natural laws - where there is no intentions, no enforcement Officer - are truly very different in how they manifest among people and how these people interact with the world they find themselves in.

6. I would say its not technology alone, nor the cause of such hubris - because humans have been claiming mastery all thru out our history - but rather our tendency to think we figured it all out. No matter the HOW, be the how religion-faith, non-deity based philosophy, or because we view technology as a means to master Nature's complexities.

Its just Human hubris to think and believe that we can Master IT all and understand IT all thru one narrow means. And IMO, Religion is most guilty of this hubris...more so than our affections for technology has even been.

Religions have long been taught to us as being the one and only available sharp and precision instrument that cuts thru everything and explains everything in one fell swoop! Granted many people sometimes do the same with Science and Tech, but those are usually fewer in number and certainly they are beat back by the rationalists who KNOW what Sci & Tech actually do for us humans.

1. I would say this a load of baloney!

When the deck is being manipulated/stacked against us by Super Beings - who can and do use their supernatural powers to trick us all the time - we humans without supernatural powers are hardly equipped much less truly "Free" to make choices based on our criteria. When a demon can make the bad look good, and vice versa - thats not freedom of choice.

If someone can make sewage taste like soda, and we drink it and get sick/die - where's the honesty of presentation and actual freedom to make proper choices ??? The same applies to your God and demons - they have powers to make the lethal look benign...and all without our knowing it...!

Nope, this notion of free-will, freedom to make proper choices that get us to your (unproven) Paradise - while living under the Rules of Super Beings who screw with us daily without cessation - yeah, well that freedom does not exist! Its one more myth taught by people who demand that we Believe they KNOW all there is to know about the World - thru some silly old Religious tracts.

There is no freedom in Religions, only the yoke of deception!

1. For that you can thank Muslims and their continued tolerance of their extremist brethren. People who do not show love of even their own, and justify it on their view of their God thru their interpretations of their SHARED Religious tracts - promulgate a POV of a God that abhors actual love and compassion. Burnt offerings be they on an altar, or a blown-up bus - its still the same evil - its still the same ancient pagan based beliefs!

Face it, without extremists there'd be nothing for you alleged moderates to compare yourselves to, in order to appear remotely rational and part of the larger world community who seeks peace.

When Islam as a whole castes out the truly evil among them - is the day the World will see you all as coming round the bend to rational and compassionate! And then you can all do the hard-work of achieving and maybe receiving forgiveness...

2. More baloney. More of the, "MY Religion is the ONLY TRUE Religion - all the rest of you know nothing!" line of propaganda.

Ok, we might discuss the details and I took it down to the basics; for being more specific we could boil it down to tree; what we like to do, what we must and should do and what we don’t have to bother about.

The laws of nature are above us in every way, we can sometimes find ways to manipulate these laws to serve our interests, but we are so tiny in the universe and so weak that our destiny has no importance whatsoever.

Imagining that these forces of nature have any interest for us will be much too optimistic.

We are a result of the chaotic evolution of matter and energy where everything is situated and evolving in space and within this moment.

Chaos isn’t what most people think.

It is not randomness without a system; it is also a system that emerges out of large numbers and endless repetitions of random events.
Chaos builds structures, collects structures into larger units and then finally destroys structures and we are a part of this ever lasting process of changes.

God's love? Is that why Muslims abuse women and murder innocent people including children? No thanks.
