Yeah, sort of like fundamentalist churches.

Slime oozes out on the living room floor and also into pews.

TV is not a spirit of any kind. It can be used to transmit either good or bad messages and it is up to you to control the on/off switch and control what is transmitted into your home. Ultimately the responsibility of whether good or bad programmes are viewed by you is a personal one.

That's one of the reasons they built televisions and computers with an off button.
Never be afraid to make that choice......like right now.

It's sunny and 75 degs out.
Think I'll go enjoy a cool beer on the back porch and watch the grass grow and the wildflowers bloom.

I rarely watch TV as there is not much worth watching. I prefer to read a book.

Send some of that weather over here please.

Sorry to be so late in responding, but I drove down to the Mojave desert to see if I could find any cactus blooming.
Not many blossoms, but I found some nice palm lined creeks in a couple of canyons under the desert floor.
What a great picnic.

Anyway, I'm with you on the books instead of TV.
I just finished an old late-sixties book called "The Shoes of The Fisherman", by Morris West. I's about a new Pope being installed and his reflections.
Talk about a prophetic analogy with the current Pope Francis!
And it's a good fast read.

Wish I could trade you some of this sun for a little rain....
But my wish-power ran out in Las Vegas a couple of days ago.. 8)

Your trip to the desert sounds like it was good. I'd have been in camera heaven there.
I inherited a horrid prickly cactus years ago and would love for it to flower but it just gets taller and taller. I guess we don't have enough sun for it to produce flowers.

Just checked out the book you mention and read some reviews. Looks interesting.
Funny how some authors seem to almost know what is coming.

Weather is beginning to perk up a bit over here now so no need for your wish power to be used .
Hope it did you some good in Vegas.

TV is simply a technical device powered by electricity. It has no sentience or moral framework.

It is simply your own personal morals that have made you have a subjective opinion of an inanimate object.

Perhaps you need to reexamine your own thinking. Try looking at facts instead of myths used to control your opinons.

If you don't like television don't watch it but trying to make other people think its evil based on you own stone age belief wont be accepted by most intelligent and reasonable people.

I don't know if it's a spirit or whatever.

But yeah, tv freakin blows! It is full of crap, un-wholesome and poisonous material.

You should turn it off as much as humanly possible.

More Xtian BS, blaming others and things for their inability to be good Xtians. TV, movies, music, dancing, the uncovered head of a woman, liquor, weed, books, art work, art work depicting Bible scenes!

Shyte, you look thru history and the things Xtians (and Believers in general) have accused of making it hard for them to be Xtians - the list is nothing but one absurdity after another!

Its always others and things in their way of good faith. The biggest legacy of Xtian-dom its it blame of everyone else, and things for their inability to be better at their Faith!. "If only everyone else would be good and stop tempting me, I could be better at this faith thing!" Basically they want everyone else to be better Xtians than them - so they can be a little better at their chosen faith!

About the only thing American Xtians dont accuse of being bad is food, and if its in a Buffet, then its manna from heaven, and if it's fried, pan or deep, its Holy Spirit licking good!

Oh and the gays! That's the main cause of their inability to be better Xtians. Gay men and woman. Its their major blockage.

Well if we look at the numbers, it apparently is humanely impossible...to turn it off. We humans like TV. We like moving images, and being told stories, no matter how inane...and the more inane all the better.

But there's some good stuff there. I'm all for the educational, cross cultural, that aims to be as impartial as humanely possible.

I love good comedy, sit-coms...even the trashy ones. TV is America, and America is TV. Its apple-pie. And its our biggest F'n export. TV is directly involved in America's ascendency to the Super Power of the World.

But it will be our down-fall as well...especially on the World stage. The more they see of us, and the more of us we keep pumping out...the less and less they will like us. More'n many do now.

But the killer will be watching us eat ourselves alive as a nation. We're gonna televise our decay.

I would never accuse Vodka of being an evil Spirit.

Same thing with good corn whiskey.
I have so much respect for corn whiskey spirits I dry my mouth out with a tissue before imbibing.
Never would I damage that alluvian elixir with water!
