Some say Islam, some say modernity, some say secularism and atheism.

This article by Bible Reflections ( http://www.bible-reflections.net/articles/ten... ) highlights that 71% of evangelical Christian leaders survey thought that secularism was the the single greatest threat to Christian.

But what do you think? what is the single greatest threat to christianity?

Yeah, notice how they never look within for the root of the problem; always demonizing an outside source.
No wonder they're all spiritually stunted.

I don't think there's any 'outside' threat to Christianity in terms of Christianity being an endangered 'species'. Christianity doesn't depend on numbers. There are threats in terms of actions and the lack thereof, either personally or corporately by Christians that can produce adverse circumstances (lack of prayer, carnality, etc.).

What is usually not included in secular history are the various revivals that took place. And they didn't come about via marketing strategy, but via a small group, or even an individual spending time in the prayer closet. In a sense, Christianity is a danger to secularism because it can start as small as a mustard seed, and bloom into a harvest.

I saw this republican stronghold in Virginia being interviewed about their recent loss and what they needed to change to do better in 2016.

One of them said "We just need to get the christians out to vote."

I said to myself "They already did."

There is no threat to Christianity. God has His eye on the sparrow. Christianity will go on exactly as God decrees.
None of the little threats from secularists and the so called educated will harm it in any way.

Evangelical Christians, with their rewritten bible calling on worshiping the rich, jailing the poor, and voting republican is the greatest threat to Christianity.

Threat? Are you, a born again evangelical, trying to tell me that YOUR god is so weak, I, a person on topix, can threaten the very existence of it?

ROFLMAO!!!

See, the Christian god is and always has been MUCH more powerful than your silly old rewritten OT "literal" god.

A threat does not have to be powerful to be a threat. Why don't you tell me what God is like so I know what you mean?

My definition is not yours. You have an agenda. And that's to put theocracy in the US. Secularism allows each to practice their own beliefs without having ONE trying to shove theirs down others throats.
