I like to think of it as heterosexuals are common. Homosexuals are uncommon. Normal is such a subjective term.
Given that our nearest relatives are the bonobos, I suspect that "normal" just might be a lot closer to bisexual than many folks realize. If not actually bi, straight will still end up "normal" by a much smaller margin.
