“Life is a bowl of cherries. Some cherries are rotten while others are good; its your job to throw out the rotten ones and forget about them while you enjoy eating the ones that are good! There are two kinds of people: those who choose to throw out the good cherries and wallow in all the rotten ones, and those who choose to throw out all the rotten ones and savor all the good ones.”

While you're looking for 'wisdom' in all the wrong places, try this;

"Life's a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Thanks. They are easy to find. Google "quotes on life" or quotes on anything, really.

“Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.”

Cisco Kid, a lot of beautiful "sayings and poetry", works of art, music, and the like are appreciated by true genuine christians when the message, words, or depiction of real life are in harmony with the Bible and when those "words of wisdom" have something positive to convey or say.
I found many Bible based principles in the quotes and poetry of others, that Cookie posted. One of my my favorite quotes is: "When your life is full of lemons make lemonade" (2nd Corinthians 4:16 ). When I think of the character Forrest Gump and his famous words: "Life is a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." The Bible verse at Matthew 6:34 comes to mind.
The beautiful, inspiring poem by Mr Larson, that Cookie shared with us is AWESOME, because it has the ability to motivate, strengthen, and encourage anyone. Something that real genuine christians are admonished to do. The poem that Cookie sent is chalk full of Bible based principles to numerous to mention. That's what makes it beautiful and inspiring. I have a scripture for just about every line in that poem and those other quotes that Cookie sent.

Yes there are a few quotes that I like and have Cookie, you might have read these quotes before:

"Let your smile help change the world, but don't let the world change your smile"
Sparkpeople.com

"Good friends are like stars, you don't always see them but they are always there"
Sparkpeople.com

"Anger opens the mouth wide and closes tight the mind"
My husband saw this quote on a sign near his job. He didn't see who the author of this quote was...but we both agreed that statement is very true.
