Geez...

NO! You think everyone is as deceitful as you and most of the other fundies here. That may be YOUR SOP but don't project that into others. I had no idea of his religion, and AGAIN, the issue is the whole package. Why did he go and kill someone he once loved, maybe still did, who knows, then kill himself?

Why is most everyone focusing on the guy and not the victim, or the WHY of it all?

"there are probably those with a false sense of security on how God will answer to them"
How you Christians have this false sense of security. Because despite all your blowhard arrogance and fake holier than thouness, you really do not KNOW God, his laws, what Heaven is like, or your real standing with him at all. And upon your moment of death, you will be full of apprehension of what will happen just like an atheist. At that time your false sense of security will be washed away and the fear of the unknown will grip your soul. With nothing but a weak hope that you are right, with the greater portion of your thoughts full of doubt.
My security is 'strictly' on the basis of Christ's righteousness. Without that, I wouldn't make it into Heaven. On my best day I wouldn't be able to make it. How about you? Are you good enough for Heaven?

You had no idea that this person was a Christian? If that's so, I stand corrected.

By the way, out of curiosity, are you "The Vortex" one and the same?

I just read your post for the second time, so there's no avoiding. I understand your point.

Okay, I'll include an "other" now. Yes, along with those who are probably not concerned about there being a God to answer to, there are probably those with a false sense of security on how God will answer to them.
Where did you hear about this god and have you seen this elusive entity? If so, where?

I gather you did not mean this as written, but just for clarity I wanted to state God will not answer to us. We will will answer to Him for every deed, thought and word at our judgement.

God bless.

Yes you ARE avoiding. So do you see that your arrogant self proclaimed Christian know it allness is based upon a false sense of "security"?

I don't remember where I was when I first heard the Gospel (somewhere in California I would suspect). As far as seeing...Berkeley, CA.

As far as elusive, I don't think it's a question of elusiveness, but whether or not you really want to find Him? Do you 'really' want to find God? If you don't, or are not sure, that may be where the idea of 'elusiveness' steps in. If you're looking for polar bears in Hawaii, they 'will' be 'elusive'. You may decide polar bears are merely a myth. If you look for the them in Alaska, this may change that opinion.

I thought as much. It struck me odd that this person referred to honesty/lying (deception), and then posts under a different name. I think the silence of this individual in the matter is also telling..thanks.

Considering all Gods require a persons faith to believe they exist, I"d say 'elusiveness' is the accurate description of Gods.

Aaaah...the old adage fits here...

"Do as I say and not as I do"...

There are a few other nics as well...

Star Reborn, Ghost Thingy...

Rather easy to spot as he tries to change up the wording/attitude...then after about 3 posts, he loses it, starts flinging his bag 'O Shyte...

Except why would you want to find polar bears in the first place?
Those things are big and mean and don't care if supper has been saved or not.
Looking for polar bears in Hawaii is a way better idea, in my opinion.

It's true, Seen does some really weird stuff but if you want really really weird stuff check out Job's screwball hypothetical scenarios.

1. I was living in Berkeley when I became a believer. The day it happened was unusual to say the least. I actually tried to think my way out of become a believer. I finally gave in, hiked up into the hills, and had a life changing experience that is pretty hard to describe. It did actually involve 'seeing' a 'vision'.

2. Not exactly. I'll use a biblical example. Christ's disciples believed that Christ was who He claimed to be. Jesus told Peter when Peter made his confession of faith that God Himself revealed this to him. And of course Peter was one of the 3 who attended the incident concerning the 'transfiguration'. So Peter's belief in God was solid. It wasn't a "blind faith" as you seem to be suggesting. Yet, Jesus at one time pointed out that they (the disciples) were of 'little' faith. Even though they believed who Jesus said He was, they still feared the raging storm. They still had a problem with the idea of Lazarus being raised from the dead after so many days, etc.

Someone can have an 'absolute' belief in God with good reason (God literally revealing Himself), but still have a problem with believing that God will do "A" if he/she does "B", because there's a high risk of failure if he/she does "B". If their faith is strong, they will step out and do "B" as God is leading them, even if there is 'natural' fear, and then of course God will come through with "A".
