The 77th General Convention of The Episcopal Church is over. but the repercussions about what happened live on and ripple around the communion. This past week, 17 Anglican Primates of the Global South met in Bangkok, Thailand. Among the things they discussed was the resolution passed at GC2012 allowing liturgical rites for same sex marriage ...

"In a communiqué written in the strongest language, the primates condemned the Episcopal Church for decisions made at their convention to authorize a liturgy for blessing same-sex unions.'This action confirms our disappointment that The Episcopal Church has no regard for the concerns and convictions of the vast majority of Anglicans worldwide.'"

At this point there is not one valid reason for any conservative believer -- bishop, priest, lay person, or congregation -- to remain in the TEC. The only reason could be for sentimental reasons or to retain property, endowments, and money. Those are not valid reasons. TEC is now so far from both the Bible and historical Christianity that there is no apparent return. TEC is unloving and unfeeling even to other members of their Anglican community. If they treat their brothers and sisters in Christ with such disdain, they will treat those outside their fellowship even more. They only warm up to those who hate tradition sexual mores and marriages, to those who have political power to help them in their agenda, and to those with money -- unless their are other Episcopalians. Then they convet the money and property while hating fellow Episcopalians. Friends, it is time to leave for the good of your salvation. As Elijah said to the Israelites, "How long to you halt between two opinions. If the LORD is God, follow him. If Baal is God, follow him." How long will TEC conservatives halt between the Bible and Schori? Both cannot be right!

What a bunch of crap! You, the one who does not listen to the Word, are a schism-causer, a divider and an accuser.

I think you overstate the case. Although I could not remain, I know more than a few faithful Christians who remain in TEO. Not for sentiment nor for reasons related to property. They remain because they perceive God has called them to be a faithful remnant -- to be faithful witnesses to the Gospel in a hostile and faithless wasteland. They deserve your respect, not condemnation even if you and I could not walk in their shoes.

"... a hostile and faithless wasteland."

LOL!!!.....

What an abjectly erroneous claim!

No wonder you are having faith problems.

Why do non-Episcopalians worry so much about how the approximately 2 million Episcopalians in the world govern themselves?

It not only indicates a serious obsession on their part but, a possible threat to the lives and safety of members of TEC.

Apparently freedom of religion in America is only open to a small percentage of our citizens. It is amazingly like living in an Islamic Republic isn’t it?

Fake priest, your idiocy is showing. First, the perspective I offered was not mine, but rather that of some who have chosen to stay notwithstanding their perception of TEO's apostasy. Second, your protest that it is erroneous is entirely worthless. You are an apsotate -- a faithless fake and a fraud. Who cares what you think? Finally, your conclusion that I am having "faith problems" is based upon nothing other than my unwillingness to buy into the heresies you embrace. My faith is in my Lord - not TEO, not GC and not Schoria law. Except by lying through your teeth, you can't say the same.

That should pose no obstacle for an Episcopal priest.
After all, everytime Bishop Spong recites the Nicene Creed, he perjures himself.

Seems to me the RCC is in a helluva lot more trouble than TEC.

George, do you have any idea how many times these nearly exact words have been said to different people? The words just don't mean anything after a while. I wish somebody would come up with more original accusations.

Can you read English?

"'... This action confirms our disappointment that The Episcopal Church has no regard for the concerns and convictions of the vast majority of Anglicans worldwide.'"

And this has nothing to do with the RCC.

LMAO!!!.... My, my! What a bunch of venomous Baloney!

"...the perspective I offered...was not [mine],"

Well then, why did you offer it????

An apso tate? I hope that's not like a poten tate or something similar. That might be really bad.

Yes, yes. I am a fake and a fraud and nobody cares what I think or have to say. That's why you respond as you have - just to show how worthless my opinion actually is. Your opinion, by contrast, is simply based upon facts.

I am personally glad that your "faith" is in the Lord. Surely, that is what will save you, in spite of any errors in concept or judgment that you might harbor.

With a bit of God's Luck, called [undeserved] Grace, I might get similar treatment. Then, we might find ourselves able to get over our differences.

But, as to any so-called "heresies," pardon moi for heretically modifying a borrowed a phrase from Forrest Gump.

Heresy is as heresy does.

There are a number of anti-Episcopalians that really believe that saying or repeating it makes it true.

Sweetie Pie it is your book idolatry and the complete failure to love others that show us you’re in fact a pagan book worshiper.

TEO = Truly Episcopalian Orthodoxy?

Hardly.[T]he [E]piscopagan [O]rganization (i.e., TEO). And the cruelest comment of all is to be called "sweetie" by you. Makes my skin crawl.
