Why any self-respecting LGBT person would want to be a Roman Catholic is beyond my understanding. It doesn't make sense.

These people have made a false idol of the Bible. They practice idolatry. Who would want to worship the Devil with them? He won't be missing much.

If they really want to punish sinners in the hereafter, they should dig up those Irish nuns who starved those 800 babies to death, parade their skeletons through the streets of Dublin with dunce caps on, then burn them.

The Catholic church loves to be concerned with sex and with the survival of fetuses but it doesn't care much about when its representatives commit murder of humans after birth. As an organization, it is more evil than Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot combined.

I tend to agree with you. I've been closely following that story on the 800 babies in Ireland.

Why worship at all? How much more proof does he need that no-one out there is listening?!

In fairness to the Upper Peninsula church the former parishioner had anonymously tricked with the priest and could have outed him inadvertently at some point....

Why any self-respecting adult would think that the universe revolves around them and that rules don't apply to them if they're gay is beyond my understanding. It doesn't make sense.

My previous post gave me an idea for a movie whose ploy you can surmise: Ferris VestiBueller's Day Getting Off.

Here's the latest RE: the Tuam home.

Doesn't say that the children were murdered, but I don't want to kill your buzz.

"Over the weekend, The Sunday World – the same paper whose initial interview with Corless sparked international interest in the case – published the death records of the 796 children who died in the Tuam Home.

The first to die was five-month-old Patrick Derrane, of gastroenteritis on August 22, 1925. The last recorded death at the home was that of Mary Carty, just four and a half months, on January 15, 1960. In the column where her cause of death should be listed, it simply says “fit.” Under “other causes,” it notes that she “was a restless baby.”

Between these two tragic bookends there are 18 recorded cases of “Marasmus,” or severe malnutrition.

Measles ravaged the home in 1936, taking 22 lives, and again in 1947, claiming 18. There were also outbreaks of whooping cough, influenza and gastroenteritis. Many more suffered from epilepsey, fits and convulsions."

The ELCA Lutherans and Episcopalians will not turn he and his partner away. He can attend either of those churches if he wants to experience a liturgical worship. I agree with the earlier comment wondering why any openly LGBT individual would even darken the door of the Roman church.

ELCA and TEC don't require that qualifications for public ministry in their Churches include observing church teachings?

I'll bet they do.

"Murder" shall suffice for systemic abuse, malnutrition, neglect and probably overt killing.

I'm glad you posted that so we can know what a seriously sick apologist you are. I guess you're not just a troll, after all, but a genuinely indecent, right wing, sexually ill, prevaricating Catholic for "Decency."

Most of the victims after the Bolshevik Revolution and during Stalin's tenure were Christians you dolt! Guess who orchestrated and saw through the whole thing? And who the hell is the purveyor of porn in the US. What an asinine post.

Their requirements are considerably less misogynistic and homophobic and authoritarian than the sexually sick rcc's.

I'm an ELCA Lutheran, and ELCA, UCC, & TEC all ordain and marry LGBT people in the church. It is not against church teachings to do so. I've known a few fine gay male pastors and quite a few fine lesbian pastors.

I just cited a story that related facts.

You declare "murder" sans evidence.

They aren't required to follow the teachings of their Church if they're in public ministry?

That's what I asked.

What are ELCA and TEC requirements for public ministry?
