Psalms 97:10 "Yee that love the LORD, hate evil...."

Catholics should put their faith further into Christ and rely on Scripture than to put their faith in the Church and rely on the Church for all answers to religious topics.. It is not what the Church was designed for, and the Catholic Church does not comply to the earliest church.

It has been quite an eye opener to see the ignorance and hate come out so blatantly. Still I come back since I come away with more of a sense that there are also so many good Catholic folks that I will never meet except here around. It's given me a whole new perspective of what it is to be "Church."

Jesus said, "Thou art Peter and upon this rock, I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." He did not say CHURCHES. He said, "my Church."

Read: John 6 51:66 and tell me that the Church has not complied with Jesus' command to do this in rememberance of Him until He returns! Hence, where can you get this spiritual food and spiritual drink for you to have eternal life? Not at Walmart Super Center, and not at Home Depot on a Sunday morning but only in His Church established by Jesus for your salvation in all Truth. Even Martin Luther knew and respected that it was Jesus really present body, blood, soul, and divinity in the bread and wine at Mass.

Well said Nita, Our Lord said,“Unless you are baptized with water and the Holy Spirit you CANNOT enter the kingdom of Heaven. That would cover Protestants.....however He also said “Except you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, you will not have life in you”. That does not cover Protestants.

What bothers me is that the Church has relaxed salvation to the extent that it is now teaching heresy. Assisi is a prime example. All are somehow possibly saved outside the church. Not so. Thrice defined dogma.

Vatican two has gone so far off the track that I believe it is no longer Catholic. Yes the church can never die, but it also cannot teach error. So the remnant is scattered, the flock is indeed scattered. There are small pockets of the faith left around the world.

Our Lady of La Salette warned us that Rome would lose the faith and become the seat of the anti-Christ.

The Church would be in eclipse. This seems to be the time. We live in dangerous spiritual times.

Marsand,

I can see that point only if you really KNOW THAT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE ONE TRUE CHURCH AND REALLY KNOW THAT YOU MUST EAT HIS FLESH AND DRINK HIS BLOOD IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT OF THE ALTAR. However, I like to believe that God is merciful to those who do not know these truths to be so. It is called blinded by the truth or invicibly ignorant. An example of this is a person living in a third world country growing up not knowing about Jesus and the Gospels. We who are trained in the Faith are held to a much higher standard because we know about the Eucharist and what it means to our salvation and we know about that the RC Church is the One true Church. We cannot judge others and force others to believe what the Catholic Church teaches. That is why God gave us all free will. He cannot force all humans to love Him. Jesus when He can down from Heaven did not force anyone to believe in His message for all mankind. He told his disciples to kick the dust off your shoes and move on. Let us pray for all here that do not believe, do not adore, and do not love Him that died in our and in their place on that Good Friday on Calvary.

Peace,
NitaM

I think that "people" judge the catholics because they are IGNORANT about our wonderful faith, and fear us.
Unfortunately, some of them are not suffering from invincible ignorance, they are suffering from pure, unadulterated hatred. They know full well what they are trying to do. They do it with glee.

I believe this to be true also. Those who post here with that hatred don't realize that they just affirm me all the more to stay Catholic and not leave it because of their "proofs." In fact I've been running to www.newadvent.org and other sites to look up things just because I want to find out more about my faith. This way I can better put into words what it is for me to be Catholic.

The Earliest Church? The Catholic Church is the Earliest Church. The Catholic Church gave us the Bible check it out yourself. Also read the Church Fathers, Especially read Justin Martyr's letter to the Roman empire about what the Chuch does, it will suprise you that he describes the Catholic Church as it still is today! This is the Church established by Christ as the "Pillar of Truth". I Timothy 3:15.

Nita.

There is no invincible ignorance. Those who are of good heart will receive what they need no matter where they are. Remember Philip and the Ethiopian.

The gospel of John says it well. They say this after every mass that I attend.

John Chapter 1

The divinity and incarnation of Christ. John bears witness of him. He begins to call his disciples.
1:1. In the beginning was the Word: and the Word was with God: and the Word was God.

1:2. The same was in the beginning with God.

1:3. All things were made by him: and without him was made nothing that was made.

1:4. In him was life: and the life was the light of men.

1:5. And the light shineth in darkness: and the darkness did not comprehend it.

1:6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

1:7. This man came for a witness, to give testimony of the light, that all men might believe through him.

1:8. He was not the light, but was to give testimony of the light.

NOTE FOLLOWING;

1:9. That was the true light, which enlighteneth EVERY man that cometh into this world.

Hello Back Prophecy: It's always good to see your posts. Faith is stronger than the perils of some of the downers who post on these sites. It's always good to be able to share and not feel hate through the keys. Peace!

Well, if it makes us feel any better....

I've visited the Jewish Forum and the Baptist Forum here, and they get as much or MORE heat and hatred as the Catholic Forum. I was surprised at all the hatred on the Jewish forum.

The Baptist forum has its nuts attacking it, but their nuts aren't as active as the wackos attacking Catholicism. There are far FEWER threads.

Seems like organized religion has all kind of haters and kooks chasing it around.

1 Matthew 10

14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet.

2 Mark 6

11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you; going forth from thence, shake off the dust from your feet for a testimony to them.

3 Luke 9

5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off even the dust of your feet, for a testimony against them.
