The Tale of the Priestly Pretender
When I first heard Mr Kevin Lee – the Catholic Priest from Glenmore Park, confessing to the media that he had been secretly married to Josephina for the last twelve months my first thoughts were that here was a man who had forsaken his sacred priestly calling for the love of a woman.
However, after he started holding further interviews and discussing his decision with the various TV Stations and Print Media, where he mentioned a Priest’s Celibacy, Priests who were married and others who, as paedophiles, were hiding behind the cloak of celibacy, it appeared that his decision for coming out might have been motivated for other reasons.
Then in a later interview, it all became clearer, when he finally told everyone that he had been writing a manuscript – a Tale, where he would tell all, including the names of other Priests living as married men. However, Mr Lee didn’t mentioned if he was self-publishing or his story had been picked up by some general mainstream publisher. Many may wonder if it was Mr Lee’s intention to get some free promotional media exposure about his upcoming book, and had he created the HOOK for the reader – the writer’s GOSH factor – where he would expose all those other people in his story. Perhaps, with book readers’ usual curiosity they’ll be lining up to buy the first copy, with the demand possibly reaping huge monetary rewards.
There Mr Lee was, sporting his soul patch of facial hair under his bottom lip, perhaps a sign of a modern up-beat free-thinking man, telling all who would listen about the shortcomings of the Catholic Church and its practice of demanding a Priest’s Celibacy, while neglecting to mentioned the vows that he willing accepted when he became a Priest. Then he mentioned that he had been excommunicated, perhaps to show that he’d been dealt another evil hand.
When the word excommunication was heard there may be some people who were shocked, but if they looked more closely they would find that there are different kinds of excommunications, and in Mr Lee case, it seems that he was merely asked to leave his Parish Priest post and advised that an administrator would be appointed. Under the Bishop’s directive to Mr Lee he would not be allowed to perform any parish ministerial duties but was still able to attend Mass. If he was so committed and wanted to remain part of that parish ministry he could have become a Deacon, where those men are allowed to be married.
Those who thought they knew Mr Lee will now have to decide for themselves if they still hold him in the same esteem as before, when they saw a man – a Catholic Priest – who stood amongst them each Sunday at Mass and sermonised to them about the sacred moral truths of their God; or will they now regard him as a Priestly Pretender.

We've all known about the Catholic church but this is the first time I've heard one of their own admitting it. This priest's got to broadcast his experiences and knowledge somehow. Who cares if he will or won't make a buck out of it! Since when was the Catholic Church opposed to making a buck!
The Catholic Church should've been accountable for their crimes, archaic views and practices a long, long time ago!
Go somewhere else where 'men of God' can marry? Why? So that the Catholic Church can continue its crimes and hypocrisy?

If your going to excommunicate him you had better excommunicate St Peter, the Apostle Peter as he was married!! Read in your Catholic Bible
1Timothy 4:3 and read the verses in context!! And 2 Timothy 4:3,4 that shows what was to happen as the early Christian church descended into unhealthful ways and pagan practices to accommodate the Roman paganism and join the ideologies. With the one e exception of St Paul the early Christians ... Including the apostles and ST PETER were married men!!!! Refusing to allow to marry is against Biblical and God's arrangement!

Documentation from their own work: "The Papal Encyclicals" 1958-1981. Pope Paul VI in 1967 endorsed celibacy as a requirement for the clergy, but admitting at the same time that the Apostolic Fathers had no such requirement !! In the above (first Encylical - above) on pg 204 it says and this is a direct quote, " ....Jesus Himself did not make it a prerequisite in His choice of the Twelve, nor did the Apostles for those who presided over the first Chrisian communities.". May I add the Catholuc Church claim is that it is Apostolic but it is not!
It claims to follow the Bible but it does not. Read 1 Cor. 9:5 NAB, 1 Tim. 3:2; Mark 7:13 Obvious to anyone who looks at this!!

Shock horror......so he got excommunicated (demoted) for marrying an adult woman, where if he had've been tampering with young children he simply would've been transferred to another parish where he could tamper with some more children. Insane but then again there is little that is sane about a powerful hierachial organisation centered around a 2000-year-old fairy-tale story.

I totally agree. Catholics are left in the dark about so many things concerning Christ and His Ministry. that is why I left the church to accept Jesus as my Savior and Live for Him. The Apostles were married that is for sure, also, the Bible says it is not good for a man to be alone. Catholics should read their Bible, Scripture says the Holy Spirit will enlighten them as to the meaning of each verse, all they need to do is ask.

It surprises me how many people vilify this man for simply marrying a woman. Of course he violated the church rules, but on the scheme of things, what is worse, a married priest or a pedophile who hides in the priesthood and commits crimes against children? An even more egregious is the fact that the same people who would condemn a priest for marrying, will go out of their way to protect a vile human being who violates a child and violates the law. In my opinion, God will not think Kevin Lee a sinner, but he certainly will hold a spot in hell for priestly pedophiles and those who hide their vile crimes.

Actually he did not get excommunicated - get your facts right! Instead of getting carried away with tabloid headlines that are just wrong, why don't you listen to what Bishop Fisher actually said: http://youtu.be/batHCbaKqng

There are rare speculations that the reason Kevin Lee made the decision to come out is that SOMEONE is going to blow his secret life to the Bishop. By admitting to himself what he did wrong, that would save him from being demeaned as the liar/pretender. Saved from getting sacked due to his misconducts. Some also as mentioned by Rob Barton would agree that Kevin Lee had been putting this book for years, and a sudden appearance to the media by revealing he is married for a year is most likely to help him with publicity. Just a business aspect of creating more controversy to generate a generous sale for his first ever written book. Boy, this man is in business. Kevin, to his parishioners and to those who closely work with him for the church is not stranger to being UN-faithful. One particular post on his facebook support page states "I don't dispute the immense work he did for our community but he also lied and lied and continued to lie... His betrayal is beyond me and many others....we have loved, supported and stood by a priest/man/friend with all his controversies over the years has deceived us allows us to forgive and now to move on." He admitted it himself not only in national TV but by newspaper interviews that he had relationships and girlfriends in the 20 years he was married. His cause is very concerning, as well very confusing. He wants to expose paedophillia yet he tries to covers himself, defend himself for falling in love. What is it that he really wanted. Kevin is in dire mess state of mind. He has lost the plot!

Seems to me some of you might need to read your bibles as well, Jesus called his disciples away from their wives , Jesus's disciples were married prior to Christ calling them away from their families to follow him , Jesus said anyone who puts Family Wives, Brother, Sister before me is not worthy to be my disciple.

So it seems to me Jesus called his first married disciples to leave their wives and follow him Jesus wanted these men to leave everything behind leave their wives as St Peter says to Jesus " we have left wives and family and left everything to follow you" This states from Peter himself that the disciples who were married did not stay married after meeting Jesus they left all behind to follow Christ .

St Peter was a fisherman when Jesus called him away from his livelihood that supported his family.
Jesus Replied " Those who have given up everything to follow me will receive a hundred fold Brothers and Sisters and eternal life"

When Christ said to the man whose father had died " Come Follow Me"

The man replied " First let me bury my father"

Jesus replied "Let the dead bury the dead"

Jesus wanted full and total commitment from those who he called even to the point of calling a man away from burying his own father so the man could follow Christ.

These things are appalling to us to listen to but it is attributed to Jesus he said these things .

So to Quote Disciples being Married is laughable , sure the we're , yeah before they meet Jesus that is he called them away from their former lives and turned them into
His disciples.

My point is Jesus Christ can call a man away from things that are natural to him
and things that mans heart desires so he can devote himself to God instead.

Kevin is mental..... A priest who met his wife in the bar! Asked yourself the question if a decent priest should go to bar and what for? I know he always loves attention, especially from the media, but now he acts abnormal and sick. I am sure the guy used the money from the church to build up his married life!!
What a pretender he was. What he had done to the church was totally wrong, the men who are pedophiles and the priest who lived a double life are all breaking the church rules. They are sinners forever !

Priests were regularly married up until the 10th century. The reason behind the vow of celibacy, which originally was simply a vow not to marry, rather than a vow of chastity, was inheritance laws in England at the time. The church was worried they might lose land & money, and we all know how the church feels about that. I suppose the vow of celibacy ranks right up there with the vow of poverty they also take.

Your stupid cult has tried to deceive everyone on the planet for thousands of years, as for thinking, it appears it's well beyond your capacity and understanding. Any one who believes in such infantile bullshit is crazy any way.

Hate, that's what you and your ilk have expressed throughout your cults history, hate for any one or thing that doesn't agrees with your depraved insanity and violent fantasy land fairy tales.
