In our youthful years we are most vulnerable and easily distracted or persuaded in one direction or the other. You asking a heterosexual in his 40's to turn gay is preposterous. Sexual identity occurs sometime before puberty and into your early teens. FACT!
Drugs and alcohol can hinder or deviate sexual patterns or behavior.
You have ZERO proof otherwise.
Zero the hero!
Okay, so you think you could have been turned gay when you were 12 or 13. So what would it have taken?$10 or 10"?

It's just as preposterous to ask a gay man or lesbian in their 40's to turn straight, like many of you anti-gays insist can happen.

You're right, it's ALL preposterous.

Actually I DO have proof, because the overwhelming majority of gays & lesbians- myself included- were never sexually molested or enticed into homosexuality drugs or alcohol. We simply realized our natural sexual attraction was to someone of the same gender; just as heterosexuals realized their natural sexual attraction was to someone of the opposite sex.

Sexual orientation becomes EVIDENT around puberty. Exactly when it is determined is still unknown.

Your continued claims that children are lured into homosexuality in spite of all the evidence to the contrary is a BIG RED FLAG that you're dealing with some guilt over a same-sex experience in your youth. Were you molested by an older man? Did he ply you with alcohol or drugs to get you to have sex with him?

I'm sorry you went through such a traumatic experience. Regardless of your sexual orientation, obviously it has scarred you. I'd suggest some counseling; it's never to late to get help.

Still can't answer the question-

What would it have taken to turn you gay when you were 12 or 13 or 14?

The only reason you'd think kids can be turned gay is if you yourself were tempted as a kid.

So what was it?

$10 or 10"?

That is a preposterous statement backed by absolutely zero facts. The burden of proof being on you, good luck. There is much hatred within homosexuals and I deal with it all the time.
You're confusing reaping what you sow with ingrained hatred of you by gays and lesbians. Thankfully most gays and lesbians don't know you.

Awfully vile tonight eh sheep? Fifteen days and goin down in vacationland.
As much as you would like, I have never had an intimate inappropriate 'encounter' with another man.
Well that's a relief. Thank goodness every encounter was appropriate. Did you remember to call the next day?

That's not much of an answer. That's like saying the car that won the race did so because it was the fastest car, without an explanation of why it was so fast.
Or maybe because the driver was clever. But what the heck does any of your feud with Lacez have to do with the topic of this thread?

BTW, Re-read what I just quoted. Lacez wouldn't ever write something so DUMB!

You got nothing.
Yes, there is a possibilty we will lose these votes. Only a fool would claim otherwise considering the history of previous votes & polling.
IF we lose, there is nothing we can do about it, except try again next year, and the year after that, and the year after that, etc.
Support for marriage equality has steadily increased every year since they started polling on the issue 20+ years ago, as the older more anti-gay generation dies off.
It's only a matter of time, whether that's this year we'll know in 14 days.
At the risk of dating myself by re-calling a very famous slogan from 50 years ago:

"A People United, Can Never be Defeated!"

I think it may have been you where I first heard the term "critical mass" in regards to an equal rights struggle. But we hit that critical mass in the last few years. And it will grown exponentially.

More straight people are publicly supporting us. And we've been successful in passing laws because of our heterosexual allies who believe in Liberty and Justice for all. Because those lawmakers stood up, more and more gays and lesbians are feeling safe enough to stand up and speak out.

Our families are becoming more supportive, and that makes it easier for younger gays, bisexuals or lesbians to feel more confident to demand equality. And older ones who've stayed silent so long.

Why be concerned with other peoples' sex lives? Unless, of course, they're raping children. Enough clergy to go around to do that. Deny it all you want, but the evidence speaks loudly and clearly. It happens!
