Planet Hollywood: Neon Ecology

The great physicist Sir Isaac Newton discovered the polarized prismatic qualities of visible light and years later inventors capitalized dimensionally on this social discovery by creating electric light and digital cameras now used in film-making.
In today's Information Age of digitized media, it is worthwhile to note that the spiritual "glitter" of the Planet Hollywood restaurant franchise reflects humanity's fascination with sensory stimulation frenzy.
A fluorescent lamp or fluorescent tube is a gas-discharge lamp that uses electricity to excite mercury vapor. The excited mercury atoms produce short-wave ultraviolet light that then causes a phosphor to fluoresce, producing visible light. A fluorescent lamp converts electrical power into useful light much more efficiently than incandescent lamps (source: Wikipedia).
Fluorescent light bulbs have been growing in popularity in hotels, casinos, and restaurants because of their energy efficiency (and hence Earth friendly) properties, so a glittering Planet Hollywood restaurant lit up by such light bulbs should come as no academic surprise.
Do vision-dazzle Hollywood (USA) movies such as "Shutter Island" (2010) reflect a new age marketability of sensory-themed entertainment?
Are they printing movie posters on hemp/recycled paper yet?
