WAKE UP AMERICA!!!

This is scary. History has repeated itself over and over again and this is a classic example.

http://www.youtube.com/watch ...

The German population believed in Hitler also, including the Jews that supported him. Look what happened to them.

When you take into fact that he has backers like Ayers, Wright and Muslim activist groups like this http://www.mafo2008.com/ the comparison is uncanny.

Just like Hitler, if you don't want people to rise against you... you take their guns away.

Hitler did this and his propoganda machine sold them that he was the "Change" they wanted and needed to get them out of economic and social turmoil. Then he attacked his own people and inflicted genocide on the Jews.

I'm not surprised that you missed the point, boob. Maybe you'll get it if I put it in all caps: THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH - YOUR CHURCH - DOES NOT REPRESENT *ALL* AMERICANS. It is not *my* church, so why should I care about what YOUR church has to say about anything?

Actually, if you read the memoirs/books of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, they are not as "Christian" as one would like to believe, but they still are none the less. The seperation of Church is much talked about before this last century and is clearly evident in Madison's writings and in the Treaty of Tripoli of 1796. Why do you think the colonists fled here from England? give you a hint, Church of England thought there ways was the ONLY "light" and forced those views onto everyone.

Sorry for the late respone, I fell asleep on the couch :)

Cut the crap. Obama in his acceptance speech said that there was an individual right to own guns, but it could be done without letting AK-47s get into the hands of criminals.

I'd be far more worried with "burn the witches" Palin and her crazy ministers charting the country's course. Germany is historically a Christian nation, and it was this government/religious combination that made killing Jews acceptable. It's still amazing that people don't want to believe that Hitler's staff, and many Nazi leaders, were raised christian (mostly lutheran) and went to church.

If you want to see a nation where the barriers between religion and state fell, causing worldwide disaster, Nazi Germany is the most egregious example. McCain/Palin would lead to the end of the United States.
So we are not to be a theocracy but our beliefs do fashion the kind of people we are..
YOu said you served our country and for this I thank you.. I know tht war is awful.. but I am wondering, as I dont know logistics as you may.. if we had followed what Obama was saying on withdrawing.. and had not had the surge when he voted against it.. ok what would have happened to the last troops out.. wasnt it very dangerous to leave the terrorists to kill a reduced force..
Well there are a couple different ways to look at it, and this forum isnt the best place, so i'll keep it short. The surge did help, but it wasn't the "end-all". Terrorists are going to recruit no matter how many we eliminate. So a reduced force could put them in more danger, yes. But you need to make sure you include the Iraqi army and security forces that are taking the spots of our troops as they would of left.

If you're looking for the new Nazis, you only need seek out the party that panders to evangelical fundamentalists--a tactic used by the Nazis and Adolf Hitler.

The Nazi "Constitution" contains the following point:

24. We demand liberty for all religious denominations in the State, so far as they are not a danger to it and do not militate against the morality and moral sense of the German race. The Party, as such, stands for positive Christianity, but does not bind itself in the matter of creed to any particular confession.

Hitler, in a speech given before his rise to power, said the following:

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before in the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice.... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.... When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom to-day this poor people is plundered and exploited."

And it also says in Leviticus that you can't wear linen with wool, can't lay with a woman on he peiod, can't eat shrimp, can't work on the sabbath, can't work if you're a woman, etc....

how many of those do you follow?

Probably none. The argument I always hear is that when Jesus came he brought the new convenant so the old book no longer applies, so if thats the case then most of the stuff you just said, is invalid.

And who cares anyways, so becuase I decided to be a marine or a army solider that makes my service less credible? Not all airmen live in plush hotel rooms when deployed playing on the internet as whole platoons are getting bombed.

I don't "lay with my wife" (what a great euphemism for sex!) during her period...ewww...that's what blojobs are for!

By the way, don't dismiss the Levitical laws so quickly. There are some very good ideas in there on infection control, sanitation and dietary safety that were truly cutting-edge for their day. Shellfish are scavengers and trash eaters--DELICIOUS trash eaters, but trash eaters nonetheless. Pigs used to be infected with Trichonosis, an extremely painful and often fatal muscle parasite. The rules on skin lesions and the patient being "unclean" until several days after the lesions pass is dead-on accurate for infection control.

Yes, I'm both the world's biggest nerd and someone who wrote a pre-med paper on it. Don't mock me!

Someone please tell me what Bush has done in six years to overturn Roe v Wade? This is a huge issue for me..but the republicans have yet to utter a word about what they will do to stop abortion???? Any input will be appreciated.
Thank-you!!
You are so correct..unfortuately the president canot overturn anything.. He and the congress, befoe it turned democrat.. did pass a partial birth abortion ban.. he did appoint 2 justices who are strict constitutionalists.. though thisis not much help as of now..
The democrts want to pass.. and Obama has promised to push the FReedom Of Choice Act..
This act would..........
Effects Admitted by Supporters
In a factsheet posted on its website, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) explains, "FOCA will supercede anti-choice laws that restrict the right to choose, including laws that prohibit the public funding of abortions for poor women or counseling and referrals for abortions. Additionally, FOCA will prohibit onerous restrictions on a woman's right to choose, such as mandated delays and targeted and medically unnecessary regulations."
In addition, PPFA explained, "Parental consent or notification statutes have been used as a tool to deny access to abortion services for minors. When such laws deny or interfere with the ability of minors to access abortion services, they would violate FOCA."
.......
In a press release issued when she introduced the FOCA in 2004, Senator Boxer gave a number of examples of current laws that would be invalidated by the bill, including:
-- Laws restricting government funding of abortion.(The Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funding of most abortions, and many states have similar laws. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1980 that these laws do not violate Roe v. Wade.)
-- Laws prohibiting abortions in public hospitals.(The Supreme Court ruled in 1977 that such policies do not violate Roe v. Wade.)
-- Laws requiring that girls and women seeking abortion receive certain information on matters such as fetal development and alternatives to abortion, and then wait a specified period before the abortion is actually performed, usually 24 or 48 hours. In her press release, Boxer referred to these as "antichoice propaganda lectures." (The Supreme Court said in its 1992 Casey ruling that such regulations are constitutional as long as they do not impose an "undue burden" on obtaining an abortion.)
Other Effects
NRLC's Johnson said that a number of other types of laws also would clearly be invalidated by the bill:
-- All laws allowing doctors, nurses, or other state-licensed professionals, and hospitals or other health-care providers, to decline to provide or pay for abortions.(Such "conscience rights" with respect to abortion are generally protected by certain federal laws, and by the laws in many states. Supporters of the laws usually call them "conscience laws," but pro-abortion groups refer to them as "refusal clauses.")
-- All laws prohibiting medical personnel other than licensed physicians from performing abortions would be invalid because they may "interfere with" access to abortion.(All but a handful of states currently enforce such "doctor-only" laws, which are specifically authorized in Roe v. Wade itself.)
-- The provision of the FOCA that prohibits any government agency or official from taking any action that would "discriminate against the exercise of" the FOCA-created legal rights, with respect to any "benefits, facilities, services, or information," would leave government officials open to lawsuits for anything that anybody thought "discriminate(s)" against abortion. Johnson observed, "This sweeping mandate could cover everything from rural health clinics, to health education programs in public schools – and even to pro-life speeches by public officials."

Is "Muslim Obama" like his evil twin or something? I mean, no one with at least two functioning brain cells believes he's a muslim. Plus, if you call him a muslim, you defeat your party's whole "Rev. Wright" slander. I mean, how can you call him a racist for believing Rev Wright if he's a muslim and wouldn't believe Wright anyway?

See, the neocons have so many lies, they can't keep them straight anymore!

I wasn't dismissing them nor mocking you. I was just saying that when some people bring up old book quotes or this and that, I bring up Levitican laws and the response I ususally get is "Oh that's the old covenant. When Jesus came, he brought a new conventnat so we don't listen to the old book..etc"

I donno, I have all sorts of opinions on this matter. But I swear that these nick names that have been brought up for this man are completely stupid. I could swear that we name called like this back in 6th grade. It scares me that voters have the same mentality.

I am not pro abortion FOR MYSELF. I was a single mother at 19. I have enjoyed every minute of it. What bothers me, is that Christians cant keep to their own damn business. You dont belive in abortion, fine, then dont abort. I cant stand people that drive their shit all up into my business, and make decisions for me. If you think about it, you prolly think the same. Then again maybe you dont, after all you let a single church decide for you.

You have been taugh to be afraid. You are so afraid of what you have been told that you dont seek what you truly have existant to yourselves (what is real.) Yet we are supposed to listen to your views, when you name call, like a child.

To base a vote on one thing...abortion, rather then an entire picture is also terrifying...what about everything else? If all you care about is more babies, but not the issues that stand financially, and ESPECIALLY ENVOIRNMENTALLY (becuase you say it's Gods will) and you actually want to bring babies into this world like their fucking sponges, to clean up your mess is sick.

Abortion isn't the problem. Mindframe is.

I know the surge wasnt the total answer .. but to just turn tail would have gotten more people killed and we probably would have to go back and fight these people again...
