It seems that Buddhism in China is quite ancient and predates the Vedas, which was around 2000 bce.

The Chinachar Sara tantra text states that it was in China and not in India that Buddha was established (Buddha Pratisthitha). That means whenever there was a Buddha, he was always established in China.

So China can rightly claim Buddhism as a Chinese religion.

You are a delusional idiot, like most Hindus.

No such thing as a Hindu during Buddha's time. Give me one book that even mentions a Hindu.

Hinduism is devoid of wisdom which is why there is no Buddhi.

Buddhism is more ancient than the Vedas and was written by Buddhists.

Get a real religion. No wonder Hindus and muzzies get along and rape Hindu women together.

Chinese ancient religion is Taoism & is nothing like Buddhism.
Just because they were dress of similar design and color doesn't mean they are same.

Lord Buddha was born around 500-600 BC at Nepal (It is annoying that so many Buddhist don't even know that) & he was a Hindu prince. Where did you read he was established in India or China?

And there are rape in other religion too. Don't try to single out Hindus.
I've read about Christian priest molesting little children. But I don't think it would be right to point finger at all of them.

Religion aren't bad. People are bad.

Buddha was not a Hindu prince. Please define what a Hindu is, Hindus fail in that miserably.

No such word as Hindu even existed during Buddha's time. Repeating a lie does not make it true.

Buddhism is quite ancient, it is the original Raj Yoga and Buddhism is mentioned in the Gita (2:49) and The Chinachar Sara Tantra which states Buddha taught Vashista.

Gautam Buddha was our Buddha for our age, however, there were several Buddha's before him.

PS only in India a woman can't walk without being touched and harrassed, now I heard Egypt is following suit. Perhaps it's Islamic influence. This is what happens when you have too many Muslims.

Gautam Buddha was Siddhartha Gautam, prince of Kapilbastu.
He left his palace in search of knowledge and after enlightenment, he became Gautam Buddha who started Buddhism.

I don't know which Buddha you are talking about.

They regard Gautam Buddha, born in 500-600 BC at Lumbini, Nepal, as the main god of Buddhist.

It's not a lie. You seem misinformed. Grab some books on Buddhism and read it.

There is no such thing as Hindu? What are you talking about?
Hinduism is a religion and Hindu are followers of Hinduism.
It started 4000 years ago.

Hindu doesn't mean Indian at all, which many people think it is.

Yeah, there seem to be rising cases of rape victim in India.
But you can't blame Hindu or Muslim for that.

Like I said, Christian priest molest children. There are many cases of rape in Western world too. Three woman were kidnapped & raped for 10 years. Some players made a sex tape of raping a drunk girl & urinating on her.
It happens every where. It is sad.
But you can't blame religion. Religion doesn't teach that.

It is the person.
Again: Religion are not bad. People are bad.

Name one Indian text written 4000 years ago that even once mentions Hindu. You can't. Even Rama and Krishna were not Hindus or knew what a Hindu was.

Hinduism is nonAryan religion mixed up and created by Sankaracharya. It has no ethical base or proper understanding.

Again, don't speak about traditions you don't have a grasp of. Gotham Buddha mentions many Buddhas before him and encourages all of us to become Buddhas.

Yes, his actual name was Gautham.

He became known as Siddhartha in Sanskrit texts.

To accommodate both, he is called Siddhartha Gautham Buddha or by his family title, Sakyamuni Buddha.

That's utter ignorance on your part, WE KNOW Siddartha Gautama was a HINDU PRINCE, WHO OPPOSED THE HINDU ANIMAL SACRIFICE.

It's a FACT. Buddhism borrows HEAVILY from Hinduism.

No he was NOT a Hindu prince. Hinduism is a false religion of Indian nationalism and rejected the Dharma Chakra itself which was given ONLY by Lord Buddha. Do you even know what the Dharma Chakra is? Hinduism did not have the Dharma Chakra and is severely lacking any morals or moral training. India is a mess thanks to Hinduism.

Please identify "heavy borrowing" from Hinduism. Remember the goat's head of Daksha? Hindus are gonna get another one for attempting to destroy God's message one more time.

Hinduism has mantras, no Dharma. Hinduism is Adharma, irreligion.

> Hinduism is a false religion of Indian nationalism

Modern Hinduism has been corrupted, and influenced by other Monotheistic religions such as xianity, islam and even Buddhism.

The concept of Heaven and Hell is from Monotheistic religions, the Vedic religion had NO HELL.

But, I don't find any thing related to "Indian Nationalism" in it.

> India is a mess thanks to Hinduism.

And HOW exactly do you support that claim?? or explain it??

Buddha was A Hindu Prince, he did not like the animal sacrifice. Another fact is he was from the Kshatriya, the division structure which is of Hinduism.

(Skip the "roots in India" thing in the above page)

> Hindus are gonna get another one for attempting to destroy God's message one more time

You talk like xians -- "G0d's message", Buddha never claimed to be a "G0d".( http://buddhanet.net/budsas/ebud/whatbudbelie... )

While the exact date is yet unknown, it's proven that the Vedas were written BEFORE 2000 BCE, Buddhism started around 500 BCE.

Also,(while I consider it to be a Post-Vedic, Hindu thing) "Buddha" is regarded as an incarnation of Vishnu, a VEDIC deity.

> Hinduism is Adharma, irreligion.

I don't know why, but the way you are saying all these, it's quite like how the xians and muslims talk about Hinduism and other religions.

==========

While I'm from Nepal (Nepalese support Buddhism whole-heartedly), I don't actually support Buddhism, because it's found to be no different than xianity.

Actually, many scholars believe - xianity and Buddhism are the same thing:

That's because the REAL word was Sindhu for Sindhu (Indus) river, Persians used the word "Hindu", the sound "H" instead of "S".

That's your problem Binky! Gotham is a fictional city where Batman and Robin fight crime. You have the Batman Buddha, a fictional creature residing in the recesses of your own mind, confused with Siddhārtha Gautama.

"Siddhārtha Gautama was the historical founder of Buddhism. He was born a Kshatriya warrior prince in Lumbini, Nepal. The dates of his birth and death are still a point of controversy[1] but most scholars "suggested that the Buddha died within approximately a few decades on either side of 400 B.C.E".

from:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Buddh...

Worshiping the Batman Buddha has you all confused.

As long as you worship any delusion you will never find the Buddha within yourself.

Stop allowing yourself to be enamored with an external Buddha. As the title of a popular book on Buddhism says, "If you meet the Buddha on the Road, kill him"

Remember, Siddhārtha Gautama was nobody special, just another mystic. And you were born a potential Buddha just like everyone else.

All you have to do is wake up to the reality of who and what you are. The title "Buddha" is simply defined as 'The Enlightened One'

Enlightenment is simply waking up. Hindus do it too! So do Taoists and a smattering of Christians and Hippies.

An ancient Chinese mystic called Lao Tsu once said "he who says does not know, he who knows does not say."

You talk too much. Learn to listen to the silence.

In my previous post,

"Siddhārtha Gautama" should have read:

"Siddhartha Gautama"
