Apology accepted.

<quoted text>fine, you and i were not having this discussion. bob was the one who tried to drag the sabbath into the conversation by accusing me of not following the Law.
you at least are consistent.

The entire story about him saving the adulterous woman for starters.

Then you obviously failed to comprehend the information in the link.

Bart Ehrman the apologetic friendly agnostic is about as up to date as you can get and he admits the Josephus passages are fakes added in later as well as backing up my assertion how much of the bible, especially New Testament is forged placed in much later.

<quoted text>nio, i like "archaya" she is a fun read although not very up to date on her thinking. so yes i read it. i've read it in the past and i'm sure i'll read her stuff again.

origen does not verify your position as;
#1 he states what we all knew anyway that josephus was not a Christian.
#2 he never quotes or refers to anything from the book that contains the TF so perhaps it is evidence that he did not have that book available to him.
and #3 he does refer to the reference of "james the brother of Jesus" so yes, he does refer to Jesus. in fact he disagrees with josephus's opinion.

yes that would be one of the favorites. but i do believe that it has been hashed over much earlier on this thread.
again the real question is was this passage added later or was it excised earlier. there are early references to it.

so you admit to having your own apologists. the article fails to address the syriac version of the TF either they chose to ignore it as they did not find it favorable to their position or they were not aware of it.

No I mentioned Bart because he is a favorite amongst your ilk.

Shame you weren't able to put that together with your low IQ.

Man Yahweh was sadistic! Sacrifice your child, allowing a on young girl to be offered up as a burnt offering, allowing his people to eat their own children, infanticide, genocide, taking slaves, mass rape of young girls.

And these are the actions of a god you want to worship?

It's surely important to attack the view or position and not the person - if one wants to make a serious point? Still, perhaps Topix is used more useful for venting and personal gratification.

Quite likely, but etches could be worth fortunes, and damaging them .... well I wouldn't want to be you, in that eventuality.

<quoted text>wow, you must have a degree in english. if you do then you know that the rules that governed english in your parent's day are not the same rules that we go by today. if you are bi-lingual then you know that punctuation and capitalization rules are not universal.
and since i am surrounded by people with advanced degrees in languages it is my statement of rebellion that i choose to not capitalize unless the word demands some respect such as God or America.
now i never really was a good speller. so, if my computer does't put that squiggly red line under the word i may miss the error.
that being said not all those errors are mine so i'm glad that you are an equal opportunity grammar police.
the "tf" however refers to the "Testimonium Flavianum". sometimes i capitalize it, most of the time not. anyone reading in the context of the conversation would know what it meant.
Nope, just a very basic education. Adults usually post as if they wish their posts to be understood exactly as they are presented. I see that you are content with just being noticed. I on the other hand, will make my points as succinctly as I can, and will leave as little room as possible, to allow responders to manipulate and change my thoughts, then for them to respond to what they have imagined, rather than to what I write.

No, I'm reporting what people who STUDY THIS THING have said.

The majority agree with my post-- it is a forgery.
