Without a doubt, it's a collection force-fit into a "single story".Oh absolutely he could be a composite sketch of several Jewish rebels. That would make much more sense.
It's such a hodge podge anyways. Deuteronomy was penned first and then genesis through numbers was penned centuries later as prequels honestly.
And also without a doubt-- none of the Folk Legends were from original sources-- even modern Bible Scholars agree on that one.
