There you go.

Your church can trace it's origins DIRECTLY back to the Genuine Catholic Church™ from which it sprang, like a bastard and unwanted child it resembles.

And no-- you have been lied to-- you trace DIRECTLY BACK to Catholicism.

You little silly.

i noticed that you didn't post a link for your opinion on the Bible before the CC.
Your .... ahem... "bible" ... did not exist prior to roughly 300CE.

There was >>nothing<< like that-- apart from the Torah of course, which is >>not<< the whole of what you call "old testament".

But Constantine and his select committee fabricated the modern bible out of a rag-tag collection of myths, legends, hand-me-downs and out right rewriting of other myths and legends to fit Constantine's agenda.

Constantine needed a way to pacify and make sheeple out of his crumbling empire.

And he recognized the quickest way to do that, was to fabricate a religion that would teach blind obedience to authority, with emphasis on compliance, slaves-not-revolting, paying taxes and so on. Teaches people they are powerless to change the status quo, too.

Once he had his new book-- the newly created "christianity" (a word that did not have any real use prior to that), he began force-converting everyone to his new Official State Genuine Christianity™.

It was convert or die.

Interestingly enough? Many chose death. I wonder what they knew that we do not?

In any case-- your ugly hate-cult has it's beginnings in mass murder.

No wonder it's a hate cult!

Slavery was just peachy-keen for the bible-fabricators.

Oh yes indeed not to mention a history of intimidation tactics, sex scandals with preachers taking advantage of women in the flock even impregnating married women. Targeting children just more often girls where the Catholics abused more boys. The scams that bankrupted members. Not to mention being very pro war, bigoted, and supporting idiots like Bush and Cheney.

I could go on and on. The Baptist church certainly is not scandal and bloodshed free.

Well said, in fact before then the term Christian was actually considered derogatory to most of the followers.

my response [so list some of the "fair share of atrocities and crimes against humanity."] was to your claim of this;
"I was an independent Baptist myself before becoming an atheist and yes that group has runs fair share of atrocities and crimes against humanity."

There is no functional difference-- you are all descended from the Genuine Catholic Church™ and Constantine's murderous startup of "christianity".

A crime for which ALL worshipers of the Genuine Bible™ are guilty by association.

Defend? Hardly-- my computer left out a word-- I repeated the post--which you ignored-- that had the corrected paragraph.

But I despise >>any religion<< who teaches it's sheep to worship the evil bible.

As yours obviously does.

You have better information as to the origins of the Genuine Bible™ you worship like a slave?

No?

We thought as much.
