My personal path to atheism started when I was an alter boy. I would listen to the gospel readings and then the priest homilies. What would frustrate me to no end is when the priest would explain the reading by saying that it meant the opposite of what was said. That started me to pay attention to the logic of the parables in the new testament. At the same time I started to read the ongoing debate about evolution verses creationism playing out on the editorial pages of my local news paper. I also kept myself up to date on all things science. All this coupled with an whole bunch of reading of as much as I could of the history of religion and science as well as philosophy. All of this lead me to my atheist mindset.

So, you chose to not pursue multi-dimensional self-examination and reflection, substituting the ease of linear thinking. Big deal. Lots of folk take the easy route.

Dawkins is quite the angry scholar and stagnant rebel. Without an accompanying mastery of one-hundredth its measure of grace, such self-centered erudition is worthless.

Please explain why you think Dawkins is angry. The only time I have seen him angry is when some religious blowhard is attempting to make some religious nonsense into public policy.

RE: Richard Dawkins' Next Book to Detail His Personal Path to Atheism
..... There are many people all over this planet who have and/or have had religious experiences that differ from what their local clergy were selling. Those experiences may have included God, gods and/or any other spirits, yet these people would probably be called "Atheists" by religionists including clergy.
..... There are many other people who never had such experiences, never had their prayers, if any, answered, never had 2-way communications via their thoughts, and these people, quite honestly, based on their own experiences, say that, for them, there is no God. And they defend their position just as religionists defend theirs too.
..... There are many belief systems with supporting literature all over this planet and anyone can invent another one; but to get a sufficient number of people to bring in at least enough money to keep it going may be a major problem.

So obviously guilty. You know your religion is a lie, which is why you have to invent lies about Dawkins.

In your f*cked up minds, Dawkins is a Jesus figure.

Fact is he isn't!

Atheism isn't a religion and any attempt for you to paint it that way and LIE will fail.

Theists, you cannot defeat hard facts. Evolution being the one that kicks the sh*t out of your lies.

It's true. It's like these people are asking us atheists to deliberately tone down our intelligence to keep their mental illness going...

Dwakins is a simpleton!! His believe in atheism contridicts his own statements, how can he believe in no God when he lacks the scientific evidence to do so. To be an ethiest is to have a belief and faith that there is no God because there is no scientific evidence that proves that there is no God. How can a learned man make such ridiculous statements

As for subject of a creater or not, the creater said "that all of creation is evidence of him (moon, stars earth, and all the wonder in the universe,) anyone that denies it supresses the truth".

My take on the question of is there a creator? if someone finds a Tshirt with a flower painted on it and asks where it came from? we know for sure that the shirt didn't make itself, the logical conclusion would be that shirt was made by someone, how much more so when we talk about a real flower that is far more complex and harder to make, the same logical conclusion should be made, there is no way the flower made itself, only a simpleton can believe that (and must use a ton of faith to do so)!!!

I'll I ask my friend is for you to look out your window and see the birds in the air, the sun in the sky, God says that's more than sufficient evidence of him. Lets talk about the real reason why anyone would deny the existence of a creator, they don't want to believe in anyone greater than themselves because than you are accountable to him greater than you. So fear is why deny you the existence of God, It's the only local conclusion why anyone could suppress so much evidence.

You better start backing up you evolutionist Friends because modern science can't find any evidence of macro-evolution, in fact they are now concluding that new species appeared out of nowhere in the evolutionary chain ( literally popped into existence) how did they have to come to this convolution you ask, lack of physical evidence. No evidence of a half ape - half man, sorry my friend you have been lied to, they based their whole theory on the finding of a tooth, turned out to be the tooth of hog, you been lied to my friend by "scientists" Please do real research to find truth, don't listen to religious evolutionist.. Simpleton!!!!!!

The believe in God is based on
evidence, God appeared to many and did many signs in the sight of many witnesses, he leveled armies, stood on a mountain in front of over a million people, he made promises to nations that came true, countless other events in the site of men, and many other ancient text beside the bible back up many of these events, what evidence do you have to prove these the events to be false.

I thought I read somewhere that no one can look directly at the face of god, so I don't think millions have seen god. Bronze age folks thought that the sun was god or the wind or thunder and lightning. I wouldn't put too much into the babblings of such ignorant people. The only reason you want all that nonsense to be true is that you want the big payoff of eternal life, because you are afraid of what death actualy is..... Nonexistance. Yeh it is a bummer but it awaits us all, so get used to it.
