Atheism requires as much faith as religion? bearvspuma : The only problem with this rationalization is that ita s assuming all athiests are so because theya re intelligent in the ways of science and reasoning and all people that believe in a form of god are unintelligent.

I bet you didn't know the Pope is an atheist, God was disproven by E=mc^2, and dinosaurs had no DNA.
Those 3 revelations alone are worth your time here.
Did you catch this?

The Ouroboros is an archetype grossly misinterpreted.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouroboros

Note all the fanciful and mystical aspects assigned to it.

Now look at it from a physical process view.

You know how a snake swallows. Look at the snake as a volume of mass and energy contracting itself to to it smallest possible dimension.

How much of itself can it swallow before it can't swallow any more? Can it it swallow more than that and just disappear if the energy necessary is supplied?

It represents a shrinking back to the point that it originated.

That snake is like an electrical current. Within the current is a powerful force that binds and tries to shrink. It is bipolarity trying to return to neutrality or a ground state.

That snake represents some physical and mathematical properties of this existence that are rather advanced for its age. The knowledge of the serpent.

If you get down to how something can exist, like this universe, using math and physical processes you can soon learn you can't make it out of nothing.

You can't assemble anything in a true void. It won't stick together. You can't even build a branch extending into it. It would suck everything you have into it, including the roots.

If you got down and carefully analyzed how this material world was created, or could be created, it is inescapably obvious it was within the confines of a larger existence or something that could be formed. Even the magical BBT required a pre-existing starting point of volume. That was a bud off a branch expanding, or a seed within a larger environment. But the expansion in neither case could be into a total void.

You can't make something out of nothing. Even a math formula.

Simple fact is this existence is within a larger presence.

Topix atheists will do their damndest to believe we appeared magically out of nothing.

Why don't you try to answer the challenge rather than trying to divert attention from the fact you can't.

Yes. I agree, snakes do not talk. But the Bible claims there was this talking serpent, ya see, and he...

And serpent = snake, unless you believe Cecil was real.

BTW, Buck, you are always whining "I never said that. Show I said that!"

Well, here is a challenge for you Bucko...show where I ever said what you are claiming I said above. Put up or shut up.

<Actually, I don't expect Buck to either put up or shut up. He is very much a hypocrite, which is why he has no credibility. I can't fathom why Bongo grovels at Buck's feet.>

Who are you to challenge?

There is more indoctrination behind your game of let's play challenger than any real intellect.

You seem to fancy yourself the Devil's advocate. Maybe for purposes of argumentation, Something you learned to do in high school or college discussions and associate with being smart.

You are in the real world now. This is not those little developing minds imitating intelligence games. What you think and do has lasting effects. Time for serious analysis on a level beyond what you are used to.

You should concentrate more of analyzing what is and less on playing "Oh, whaddabout". Get in the mode while you can.

Try to exercise what little brains you have...

Given knowledge of good and evil, after eating the fruit, THEN they were aware they had effed up. After. Get it?

But before they ate the fruit, they didn't have that knowledge.

God punishing them for doing something they didn't know was bad would be like spanking a new born for wetting his pants.

It wasn't I that started this line of discussion, pea wit.

And I will admit that there are many, many contradictions in the Bible. Thank yo for admitting that.

But I think that going right to the start and showing it has problems from the get-go is a worthwhile point.

So why don't you tell us your favorite contradiction in the Bible?
