I don't care if you are Christian or not...or what you believe...I do resent though you implying that my son is a pervert. I resent that you think it is "love" to call him that. When your words reach my ears...or in the case of Topix my eyes...they are words of hate.
That happens a lot with Christians - calling hate love.

But they come by it honestly. They are taught that their god loved us so much he built a hell, staffed it with a monster, crucified somebody, and said that if we didn't worship him, he'd keep us alive after death and torture us, too - forever.

How's that for perfect love?

It's worse. Parts of the world didn't hear about the crucified one for some 600 years afterward.

That's a lot of souls filing into hell who had no chance.

And worst of all - he created the scorned woman.

Garcia didn't write those words, but he did sing them.
Perhaps Robert Hunter. The meaning is subject to interpretation. If you do not plant love you get nothing in return. I did not write Garcia wrote those words. I simply wrote you were quoting Garcia and you wrote Garcia did sing them.
I believe many things, but I believe in nothing. I leave that to faith based thinkers.
Your atheism explains nothing. Has no answers so you do believe in nothing and as a result have nothing of value to offer. How can you believe in many things and at the same time believe nothing? It is not so much a matter of faith as it is historical fact. It is like saying it is a matter of faith George Washington was the first President. If one believes in God, which is perfectly reasonable, miracles are possible and by definition rare. You exercise faith every time you get into a car where another person is driving. It is impossible to live life without some form of faith. Take a cab is an exercise in faith. So i don 't know what your problem is with faith. You have faith you will cease to exist at death. Its a displaced faith which forfeits ultimate justice. It is faith none the less.

News flash!

Studies have shown that approximately 15 million people in the United States smoke marijuana on a regular basis,.

The US population is 313 million.

That comes out to be about 5% of the US population.
