You have nothing, he never renounced his Christianity, ever. He banned atheism and even gave atheist property to the church.

You lose.
RiversideRedneck wrote:
<quoted text>Ya, he banned atheism but at least he didn't slaughter 6 million if you. He hated Jews and he hated Christians and Christianity.

"once a catholic always a catholic"?? Really? Why don't you talk to some of the "ex-Christians" here on Topix.

Tell them that.

It's funny how some of you brag that you used to be religious but aren't anymore, but you can't fathom that Hitler was the same...

I have read his few comments of frustration towards certain Christians.

Which are meaningless compared to his actions and plans for the future including indoctrinating what he called those Russian atheists and converting them to Christianity.
RiversideRedneck wrote:
<quoted text>Well of course, he was pandering to a religious public. He needed their votes.

Ever bother to look at his private statements about Christianity post-1940?

I doubt it.

The loser speaks too soon.....

"The adult Adolf Hitler was a rationalist and a materialist, who saw Christianity as a religion fit for slaves, and a rebellion against the natural law of selection and survival of the fittest.[1] Raised a Catholic, Hitler had some respect for the 'great position' of that church, but became deeply hostile to its teachings.[2] In office, Hitler sought to control the German Churches through Gleichschaltung and sought to eliminate Judaism by all means possible."

I doubt you'll read it. It might hurt your ignorant standpoint of Hitler.

But a person that wants to "eliminate Judaism by all means possible" is not a Christian. Not by any means.

I knew it.

You choose to remain ignorant.

"Many historians say that Hitler had a general covert plan, which some say existed even before the Nazis' rise to power, to destroy Christianity within the Reich, which was to be accomplished through control and subversion of the churches and to be completed after the war."

From the same wiki page.

But go on, keep your eyes squeezed shut & keep your fingers in your ears and keep saying LA LA LA....

If that works for ya.

Name these historians, must be quite a list eh?

Be sure to have proof backing up that they made this assertion.

There are no atheists in Germany! We will convert Stalin's people to Christianity and acceptance of the creator.

List and links please.

He was angered at the power of the church and what he called negative Christianity.. From your own link he wanted to promote what he called positive Christianity.... From your own link... Hitler much preferred the Protestant church over the Catholic Church and stated through him the Protestant church could become the established church as in England.

I guess when you cherry pick the parts you like you end up humiliating yourself again eh RR?

Go read your own link, like you Hitler became disillusioned with the Catholic Church and preferred Protestant churches.

Not exactly atheist.

He said.. I believe today my conduct is in accordance with the almighty creator.
I fell down on my knees and thanked heaven with an overflowing heart.
I could go on and on with Hitler's hundreds if not thousands of public an private statements of his deep faith in god. Each nazi belt buckle said God with us. He actually hated the Russians for having so many atheists and called them foul godless creatures and even proclaimed that after conquering Russia one of his first acts would be to indoctrinate the Russian masses into Christianity.
And most telling is when Hitler joyously proclaimed. There are no more Atheists in Germany!
<quoted text>
The Nuremberg Papers released after the fall of the Berlin Wall prove conclusively Hitler was no Christian, hated Christianity, and had plans already drawn for eradicating Christianity from Germany.

The case is settled. Catch up.

Hitler's minister Bormann, sounding exactly like a Topix atheist:

"National Socialist and Christian concepts are incompatible. The Christian Churches build upon the ignorance of men and strive to keep large portions of the people in ignorance because only in this way can the Christian Churches maintain their power. On the other hand, National Socialism is based on scientific foundations. Christianity's immutable principles, which were laid down almost two thousand years ago, have increasingly stiffened into life-alien dogmas. National Socialism, however, if it wants to fulfill its task further, must always guide itself according to the newest data of scientific researches."

Hitler and the Nazis hated Christianity, but they loved DARWINISM.

Sound familiar?

"The key elements in the ideology that produced Auschwitz are moral relativism aligned with a rejection of the sacredness of human life, a belief that violent competition in nature creates greater and lesser races, that the greater will inevitably exterminate the lesser, and finally that the lesser race most in need of extermination is the Jews. All but the last of these ideas may be found in Darwin’s writing."

The biographies of Hitler almost all point to his rejection of Christianity in favor of embracing DARWINISM.

"Hitler: A Study in Tyranny", by Alan Bullock:

“The basis of Hitler’s political beliefs was a crude Darwinism.” Its [Christianity's] teaching, he declared, was a rebellion against the natural law of selection by struggle and the survival of the fittest.”

Where have I heard stuff like this lately?

Hitler and the Nazis used DARWINISM to justify the jewish holocaust:

In a 1937 Nazi propaganda film, "Victims of the Past", the audience is shown a retarded person as the narrator remarks:

“In the last few decades, mankind has sinned terribly against the law of natural selection. We haven’t just maintained life unworthy of life, we have even allowed it to multiply.”

Ladies and gentlemen we see RR's lack of reading comprehension crystal clear here.

I quote Hitler gushing about banishing atheism in Germany and he thinks I am the one making the claim.

Anyone want to say he has achieved even an 11th grade education? Anyone?
