Atheism requires as much faith as religion? bearvspuma : The only problem with this rationalization is that ita s assuming all athiests are so because theya re intelligent in the ways of science and reasoning and all people that believe in a form of god are unintelligent.

Not much of an education you received I see. Not surprising Daffy after all the idiotic statements you have humiliated yourself with on here.

So next time you wish to discuss science or history you will be reminded Of your lack of education that is so atrocious you can't even state even basic knowledge of what the crusades are.

I am honored to have this much power and control over you. Tell me Daffy you think the holocaust was the will of your dark Palestinian god because it helped reform the state of Israel yet you want to call others sadist?

You lie about Arabs going into your Dad's hospital room and converting him to believe in Allah. You said he was this brutal tyrant who crammed atheism down everyone's throat but later said he was a wonderful, sweet charming fellow who everyone adored. You think that a serpent and a homo erectus look alike.

Lol! Crazy old Daffy, always good for a laugh.

There is plenty of empirical evidence, recorded in history.
Also the evidence is within you and around you, in all the laws that govern mind and matter.
The problem is not evidence, the problem is tha you do not want to be led down the path the evidence provides.
So you suppress the truth, so that you can continue in sin.
There IS NO evidence for the existence of your God. There are however, stories and anecdotal testimony which hardly count as "empirical evidence." As someone once said "The evidence for God is the same as for werewolves."
Now what usually happens after someone makes such claim, is support for this claim follows. Fossil records, some other kind of physical evidence, anything can be traced back and connected to your God thing. We have evidence for Alexander the Great, DNA from his father I think. You don't even have reliable or historical evidence for Jesus. You once again have some anecdotal testimony, and lots of stories passed down over the centuries. The fact is, there are NO contemporary accounts of Jesus outside of the bible. Everything that was written about Jesus was written decades after his supposed death.

There is no evidence within me or around me. I'm an animal the same as you. I was born and will cease to live at some point. The marvels of my body are the work of millions of years of evolution, as is the world around me. There is no magic involved, pure biology and science is the answer. I'm sure you believe there is some mystical magical being responsible, but all that exists, like your God, only in YOUR mind.

There are NO laws that govern "Mind" only matter. And those laws may well have existed always.

You do what all Theists and fundies do, you state your beliefs as factual, and do so without a shred of evidence. I use to find this annoying, now I find it extremely comical. So very childlike. "Oh look, a rainbow, its so beautiful it must be God." "Look at how complex our bodies are, I can't for one moment understand this complexity, only God could have created such perfection." You can't understand it so........GODDIDIT. You see something awe inspiring so......GOGDIDIT. So very childish. Oh, BTW, the human body is very far from perfect.

A bigger hit on electricity. 240v and 37 amp on this electric heater. The meter dial literally turns 70 plus times faster when it kicks in. Once it is up to temp it usually only runs for 30-60 seconds every half hour or so, but 24/7 that adds up.
Sounds like you have moisture getting under the tiles. In lieu of having it all redone, let it dry out, clean as good as you can, and use some silicone glue behind the loose ones. If you get it dried out try putting some wax or something over the tile to help keep the moisture out.
You ought to see the custom cover I made. The original was shot. This tub is in an eight foot square enclosure. Big tub. I made a frame of PVC, used plastic sheets and cheap tarps from WalMart wrapped around to enclose wall and heater duct insulation scraps I had. Works better than the original, and lots lighter. The frame is just outside the rim of the tub, so it seals real good. I use a couple of ropes and pulleys to raise and lower. No strain.
Thanks for the tip. Problem is, I'm not very handy.

I have a good cover, it folds in the middle and has handles on either end, so I can lift and remove any rainwater. Fairly light, I don't know what it's filled with. It also hugs well, no seal but works well. I bought it....

If you tortured animals in your childhood is not known at this point. What is known is your cruelty and coldness in your post. I would describe it as abnormal and uncharacteristic of normal human behavior.
You have tried to paint over this sadism by claiming you are a humanitarian. Making routine trips to the Philippines to save the little starving children from the evils of Christianity.
The cause of sadism is not fully known but it is believed to have been a result of something that happened in your childhood. A good physiologist could perhaps uncover what it is that has made this sadism evolve in your persona.
Issues, real deep issues hidden within your soul. Has driven you to hate and enjoy inflecting harm on others. You have lived your whole life with this dark secret. Perhaps itís time for you to consider to get healing for your mind.
I do believe you have successfully described one of the main traits of you God. Would you be considered a sadists if you had the ability to stop sinister torture and death yet did nothing? And you could stop this agonizing death with absolutely no risk to yourself, a simple snap of the fingers, so to speak. At the very least you would be considered an accessory to sadism. Why aren't you terribly embarrassed over the none actions of your God?

Those things are expensive. Usually big 4 inch blocks of foam. Pain getting off, though. Especially when you get older and the thing is 8 foot square. I like my pulley arrangement. I tried incorporating an old garage door opener, but it was too long, not enough muscle, and didn't have enough travel to accommodate the pulleys.

Rainwater? Leaky roof, or condensation dripping back down? I put a roof vent in that room to help let humidity escape. It's a 324 sq ft room. With shower, toilet and sauna room. The skylight above does leak on occasion, but that cover arrangement protects when down and when it is up. I did a lot of work bringing that back into shape. Cedar shake for interior walls that were dusty, moldy, and with a hundred empty beer bottles behind them. The owner did it himself and he drank a lot. Cleaned and disinfected the cedar shake, put plastic on the wall as a vapor block, then painted the shake. Has worked out real nice. Humidity and mold are under control.

I have noticed that you have failed to respond the the very simple Yes or NO question I posted back on post #152372. Its a reasonable question asking for a reasonable answer. I do however, completely understand your reluctance to respond. I would push it any further, your reluctance to answers tells me all I need to know about the inner conflict you have going on. Not a problem!!!

Yeah, it's foam inside.

My hot tub is outdoors, on a redwood deck--access is through French doors from my bedroom. I live in Southern California, remember? Can't beat soaking in 103-degree water while looking at the stars.
