It's really cute how atheists feel a need to put human limitations on God.
Funny how theists project their emotional states onto their god, no?

While it takes a certain level of intellect to reject an appealing world view of life after death and a loving father figure in the sky watching over you, this does not mean that intelligent people still can't choose, due to their lack of moral character, to go with the feel good personally appealing world view over a world view guided by reason.
If Faraday was a theist then he was a hypocrite like evey other theist, holding his death denying dogma to zero standard of proof and when a scientist does this it is even more hypocritical for they know full well what proper reasoning is for they use it every day in their work.
Your use of Faraday proves how intellectually dishonest you are. It would be like me using the very bright Bernie Madoff as a means to justify stealing.
Why do you believe God is a father figure in the sky watching over you?

Christianity gets appr 3 million conversions per year and 22 million new adherents
That's 0.0005% of the population of the the world converting. Not a very fast growth, it's slowing down in more educated locales, and increasing a lot in places like Africa. Which does not bode well for you, because a starving person will convert to any religion for a slice of bread.

You really have absolutely no idea how math works, do you? You should go back to first grade and learn math.

You have no evidence to suggest this is true.

...yeah, because of population growth. The religion itself is dwindling.

A smaller portion of the population believes.

Is that an admission that you agree there is no evidence to suggest it's true?

And yes, I do have evidence to suggest it isn't: it conflicts with scientific knowledge. It also conflicts with all our experiences in this world in which gods never show up to be documented.

You still haven't provided us with a single reason to believe Jesus was a god or performed any of the miracles in the Bible. Why not?

Ask the people getting blown up in Israel or crying outside the wailing wall if they think they are free.

Speaking of freedom, keep the girls free!:)

A lot of good info there. Indeed we lack any real historical proof for Jesus.
Imhotep wrote:

Which Jesus?
Christianity was the ultimate product of religious syncretism in the ancient world. Its emergence owed nothing to a holy carpenter. There were many Jesuses but the fable was a cultural construct.
The nativity yarn is a concatenation of nonsense. The genealogies of Jesus, both Matthew's version and Luke's, are pious fiction. Nazareth did not exist in the 1st century AD the area was a burial ground of rock-cut tombs.
With multiple authors behind the original gospel story it is no surprise that the figure of "Jesus" is a mess of contradictions. Yet the story is so thinly drawn that being a "good Christian" might mean almost anything.
The 12 disciples are as fictitious as their master, invented to legitimise the claims of the early churches. The original Mary was not a virgin, that idea was borrowed from pagan goddesses. The pagan world knew all about virgins getting pregnant by randy gods: The Mythical "Virgin Mother".
Scholars have known all this for more than 200 years but priestcraft is a highly profitable business and finances an industry of deceit to keep the show on the road.
"Jesus better documented than any other ancient figure"? Don't believe a word of it. Unlike the mythical Jesus, a real historical figure like Julius Caesar has a mass of mutually supporting evidence.
The case for a mythical Jesus Nailing Jesus. Book review: Ehrman - Did Jesus Exist? Popular scholar recoils from the abyss. A rescue mission for the "Jesus of history" The New Apologists.

Way to change the topic.

We were discussing trends. That religiosity is DECREASING in the 1st World.

Also, your numbers are bogus. For example, when Norwegians were surveyed, 84% said they belonged to a Christian church, yet *ONLY 32%* said they believed in God.
