No, I accept it.
And I don't need to offer you any evidence.
Then stop pretending that your belief is anything other than a delusion.

I did ask you who. You didn't answer.
I'm a Christian & an American and I don't fit either one of those allegations. And nobody I know dies either.
I said common, not every single person. You need to avoid projecting better, especially when dealing with someone like me. I do not assume things, and I do not assume that what one person does is what everyone of the same archetype would do, lest I would not enjoy reading some of what some posters on here post. Common means I have witnessed it a lot, much of it in the media and online, some in real life, but if I had made the assumption about you, I would not have even pointed this fact out to you in the first place because it would be "preaching to the choir," to coin a phrase.

In that case, you should just state it's a belief and not fact. Saying something is fact without presenting evidence to support it is pretty much lying. Stating something is fact is the same as saying you have evidence you can present to back it up.

naaaaw......
If you were a juror, and the prosecutor said the guy could teleport, you'd call BS.
If you read a book that claimed a woman lived on Mars, you'd call BS.
If I told you my friend could shoot lasers out of his eyes, you'd call BS.
Yet you don't do the same for your religion.
Derp.

Humans can't teleport, live on mars or shoot lasers out of their eyes.....

It isn't.

You don't have to believe, you've already admitted that you failed at it, don't throw your emotional distress at me.

But they're not humans - they're SUPERhumans! Do you believe all the claims now that I've told you they're superhumans? Or still BS?

Here we go. Bullshit. You said "theists" & you said it was common in the US, you didn't say WHO it was common for.

Remember?
"Funny how theists project their emotional states onto their god, no?"
You need to avoid projecting better, especially when dealing with someone like me.
Someone that trips on their own words?

Then I ask again......

Who and in what way?

I believe in God.

I know God is real, I've felt His hand & heard His voice.

I can't provide evidence of that anymore than you could provide evidence of the feeling in your palm when you shake someone's hand.

Basic scientific facts will not give you knowledge about evidence of God. Neither will complex scientific facts.

BS. Superhumans don't exist.

(Jesus was never a superhuman, so I'm wondering what your point is.)

You have no evidence that God doesn't exist or that Jesus did not perform miracles.

Oh, you mean "towards who" ... well, take your pick. Muslims, atheists, gay people, black people (historically), pagans .... eventually everyone becomes a target.

So then your Jesus didn't perform any miracles? Because performing miracles is "super" human.

Scientific facts give us reason to accept or reject claims.

What distinguishes Jesus from my superhumans? They're the SAME THING.

I could just as easily have said that my laser-beams guy was a god.

There is zero evidence that gods and miracle-makers exist.

There is ample evidence (thousands of examples) that gods and miracle-makers can be made up.

There is also scientific evidence that contradicts their existence.

My explanation involves known facts, reason, and probabilities. Yours throws all that away.
