Atheism requires as much faith as religion? bearvspuma : The only problem with this rationalization is that ita s assuming all athiests are so because theya re intelligent in the ways of science and reasoning and all people that believe in a form of god are unintelligent.

Everyone makes mistakes including good Doctors. I think honest mistakes by competent Doctors need to be forgiven ... Anyway I would be interested in your thoughts on this subject.
It's not a matter of forgiveness.

If you make a mistake in good faith and nobody is hurt, you might need to be monitored to see that such mistakes are rare for you, not common. If you make a mistake and hurt somebody, they should be compensated. If your mistake was due to gross negligence, you need to be put on a supervised probation with remedial training, or else lose your license. If you actions were criminal, you need to be prosecuted by the law.

State Medical Boards need to have more of a mix of participants. Why arenít there nurses on these medical boards? Nurses have the inside track on what goes on in the medical field and they should be participating in these medical board decisions.
I agree that the disciplinary boards should have non-physicians on them. The people judging the performance of the physicians probably need to be specialists in the same field, but the panels deciding what to do about the bad eggs should contain a mix of interested members of the community.
Eagle12 wrote:
I also think Doctors who are continuous assh*les to subordinates should be reported the Medical Boards. This is another reason to have nurses on Medical Boards.
I don't.

The medical board isn't there to make doctors more polite.
If they abuse hospital personnel, the hospitals will deal with them, possibly with a loss or suspension of privileges. If they abuse their employees, those people can decide if the job is worth keeping.

Nurses are just one kind of health care professional that works closely with physicians. Pharmacists, X-ray techs, hospital social workers, physical therapists, and others are in the same position as nurses when it comes to evaluating physicians. They are qualified to rate physicians' professionalism, but not their technical expertise.

Hope that helps.

I have proven, far beyond a shadow of a reasonable doubt, that there is/are no meaningful god/gods or devil/devils.
This is best exemplified by my YouTube video which explains ALL about Faith via The Power Of Prayer.
http://www.youtube.com/watch...
If faith were important and powerful then every year a jolly elf would bring children presents on December 25th.
Tell me, do kids GO BAD when they discover that there is no Santa?
NO, they don't
anymore than belief in Santa makes children any less ornery.
Gingerbread is just as delicious & a lump of coal is just as carbon-y, Santa or not.

You need to chill, dude.

http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Put that on repeat, crank up a doobie, sit on the floor leaning against the wall, and just drift off. Become part of the universe. Drop the feeling responsible for what you have no control over, and the attendant angst. Let the doob and the music repair the damage it did to you so long ago when life was so much more confusing. You're on the downhill slide now, no going back. Quit playing like you are having fun, and settle that anguished soul.

Any of the implausible or impossible events like resurrection.
Oh, you have some evidence that Jesus' ressurection was impossible?

Are you changing your stance on "I only believe in what is evidenced"?

Scholar: A specialist in a particular branch of study
A historian IS a specialist in a particular branch of study (history). Thus, a historian is a scholar.
What's so hard to understand here?
In that context yes, a historian is a scholar. But a scholar isn't a historian.

What IS so difficult with that?

When you say rising, do you mean getting closer to finding the proof of god? or do you mean an increase in the number of stupid people who are fleeced by a fraudulent and immoral cult of liars?

Do you have any evidence of god at all? jesus is meant to be god, right? do you have any evidence?

The question is simple and so is the answer. No.

So stop lying about a god that isn't really there and stop failing at converting atheists.

We don't believe in any of your lies I'm sorry to say.
