I do understand that you don’t believe the bible.
God was against long term mandatory slavery.
If you found yourself a slave of the Children of Israel. It was not for a lifetime but only for 7 years.
Seven years is not long-term for slavery?

What are you smoking, dude?

Contracts for slavery are what we in the law call contracts of adhesion. Not bargained at arm's length.
Besides, chattel can't enter into contracts.

Some contracts are enforced other ways, than in the judicial system.

No, he didn't say mandatory.

He said manditory.

You'll have to ask eagle what manditory means.

Must be a Christian thing.

Sorry RR, they were slaves. They were not paid, they were held against their will, and were bought and sold as property. That is what a slave is. And are you really suggesting that allowing desperate poor people the "opportunity" to enslave themselves as a good moral thing? Seriously? Dude, if so, your mores are seriously askew.
OK, Wilde. If you say so

After all, you're the one who thinks that all one has to do is say "I believe in Jesus" before they die & all is forgiven...

If you wanna learn something, I can help.

If you wanna criticize, I can do that to.

But don't act like you wanna know and definitely don't act like you know Christianity because you don't.

Oh, I was just pointing out your ignorance regarding the subject.

(You thought there were Jews in Egypt until just a few minutes ago. Didn't know there were no Jews yet.)

My new Airedale Terrier is adoring her first snow. Can't wait for more on Friday. We're lucky to have a lot of land to play snowballs in whilst my wife looks disparagingly at us.

btw Catcher was pointing out the spelling mistake "manditory" made by an unkind moron who should have used the correct spelling "mandatory".
