The incidence of homicides committed with a firearm in the US is much greater than most other advanced countries. In the United States in 2009 United Nations statistics record 3.0 intentional homicides committed with a firearm per 100,000 inhabitants; for comparison, the figure for the United Kingdom, with where handguns are prohibited was 0.07 per 100,000, about 40 times lower, and for Germany 0.2.[42]

All pro gun people are idiots. Fact.

Its proven that your population cannot be trusted with handguns.

Thats what the stats and the headlines show.

violent crime is England and Wales alone are 3.5 times higher per/100,000 than that of America.
Seems as if removing guns does not remove violence.

It has been proven that governments can not be trusted with any type of weapon. Remove weapons from the hands of the beaurocrats and it will save more lives.

Wrong, guns kill people. By reducing the the number of guns in a particular are inhabitated by humans you will reduce the likelihood of children being shot accidentally.
It doesn't surprise me that you're pro gun as well, another tickbox next to creationist liar.

Just like the fundies! If you don't like something, you just cover up your ears, stomp your feet and cry like a toddler, that can't get his way.

Then claim that you try to discuss the issue.

Wrong, guns kill people, violence doesn't always kill people. YOu are once again using that typical creationist tactic of shifting the goalposts.

Nobody is arguing about what governments can be trusted with. Another attempt by you to derail the original point which is that guns kill people and should never be allowed in society.

Anyone who believes the opposite is an idiot who needs to stay the f*ck away from me.

America has on average 88.9 guns per hundred people.

The second country with the most guns is India, with just 4 per hundred people.

That alone should tell you how mental the US obsession with guns is.

Want to know what else kills people?
Cars, pitchforks, farm equipment, bombs, fireworks, swimming pools, etc.
Swimming pool deaths out numbers shooting deaths by quite a bit actually.

Yep.

Alcohol and automoblies are the biggest killers in the USA.

Over half of the people in US prison are the result of alcohol related crimes.

You don't get it.
Criminals & psychos will get guns whether or not they're legal or readily available.
How do you know that Lanza wouldn't have used a car to do the same crime had he not had guns?
Cars are deadly, they kill people, not the drivers.
Cars are weapons....
Dumb ass.
Yes so that limits the number of guns to a very few percent of the population.

Then there is no incentive for criminals to use firearms unless they know similar firearms will be used in response. The punishment (certainly in most of Europe) for an offence committed using a firearm tend to be 4/5 or more times harsher than the same crime without the firearm. Armed robbery 14 to 21 years. Unarmed burglary 2 to 5 years, unarmed housebreaking, a slap on the hand and perhaps a fine if the perp can afford it.(Up to you to look up the difference between burglary and housebreaking if you are interested)

The psychos exist whether the potential victim has a gun or not and owning gun will certainly be no deterrent to a psycho.

Stupid comparison you moron, cars “can” be used as a weapon, in the hands of someone with a mind to use it as such, they are however manufactured as transport aides. Just as a building brick can be used as a weapon in the wrong hands, it is manufactured as a building material. Hell even a babble can be used as a weapon if you hit someone with it, it seems it’s caused you considerable brain damage.

Guns on the other hand are manufactured explicitly as weapons, specifically to cause physical damage, mutilation and/or death to your opponent. They not manufactured to keep you warm and cosy while driving from point a to point b or to deflect the wind in such a civilised human way or to offer spiritual contentment to those who need it

Why are you so think?

Why do I need a reason ?

What will I use when the civil war starts, when people get sick of being raped by politicians ?
