In California?

Say it's not true, Aura.

On second though, everything happens in California, and usually first.

So thinking of a person,
and what they represent,
appears to me, quite stupidly,
time and resources poorly spent.

I know it's just something to whoop about, in my state we have already enacted legislation that bars federal laws from infringement of our 2nd amendment rights. So has Texas and Florida a few others.
But with this country so divided it's not going to get much accomplished. It could speed us along our way to the worst times in American history. It also sets the stage for bitter fights between the States and Washington. Lame Duck Session I believe is what they call it.

Aura, my problem with what you say is that I'm by nature an optimist.

I believe we'll work things out.

We get our allotment of time here on earth, and we happen to be sharing it. We have to appreciate it, enjoy it, make the most of it.

We should aim to minimize conflict, if possible, while maintaining our core principles.

Screw that type mentality. I'll stick with something like this.

There are those, I know, who will say that the liberation of humanity, the freedom of man and mind, is nothing but a dream. They are right. It is the American dream.~Archibald MacLeish

Again, why resort to ad hom? Is it really your purpose to diverge from logic and substance? Why not explain why the idea expressed fails the test of logic when by attacking the writer instead of what is written, you imply that you cannot do the latter, further implying your own defeat? You can do better. You once did. Why not return to writing posts worth reading?
