Oneway around the gun issues in the US is just out law ammo.
Guns without bullet are of little use.
Ammo can be bought and used at the rifle range but every bullet accounted for.
But then you're back to if ammo was outlawed then only outlaws would have ammo.
Too tough I'm afraid to get this issue right.
This could help - more police stop the small crimes and you will stop the bigger crime. It's call nipping it in the bud. Don't let the little hoodlums get away with the small stuff and and then there in the system and patterns tend to kick in.

People question how 666 fits into the picture, and in my opinion, and after much consideration, I believe the 666 ~ and being Man(kind) although in a lot of instances the (kind) had been dropped comes from Genesis 6:6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart; and the next Scripture, which is also a 6 makes the 3rd 6 and all to do with man(kind) 6:7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

I do what study I can, on my own terms as such, and believe that this is indeed the 666 of man, if not for anyone else, but then at least for me, and the numbers in our hair have been proven, and so many other things that I could point out, but don't have time or space :)

Actually, we know what the meaning of "666" or "616."

This video explains it pretty simply. It's honestly one of the cooler aspects of the Bible, in my opinion. It's kind of like a code or a riddle, but it doesn't hold any particular meaning to us today because it wasn't meant for us.

Repented ~ "To feel remorse, contrition, or self-reproach for what one has done or failed to do;"

Many laugh at Noah, but if Noah had not been around, who knows what could have happened. GOD has given us much, and for reasons, and when the link is strong between GOD and our Soul, when we can feel that link, we understand. Simple :)

GOD must have berated HIMSELF over and over and over, and I don't know how HE can bear the cruelty that HE must witness, but I do know why HE wants to stop it.

Laughter is our best medicine, so they have been saying for, and I am posting this;

***"Laughter is the best medicine" : that's the theme for today's celebration.

Like many of our sayings, I think this one started off in the Bible. Proverbs 17:22 says something similar: "A cheerful or merry heart is good medicine" (whichever version you happen to be reading)...

http://www.oamweb.com/religious/oznan/laughte... ***

and also this;

*** Laughter is regularly promoted as a source of health and well being, but it has been hard to pin down exactly why laughing until it hurts feels so good.

The answer, reports Robin Dunbar, an evolutionary psychologist at Oxford, is not the intellectual pleasure of cerebral humor, but the physical act of laughing. The simple muscular exertions involved in producing the familiar ha, ha, ha, he said, trigger an increase in endorphins, the brain chemicals known for their feel-good effect.

His results build on a long history of scientific attempts to understand a deceptively simple and universal behavior.“Laughter is very weird stuff, actually,” Dr. Dunbar said.“That’s why we got interested in it.” And the findings fit well with a growing sense that laughter contributes to group bonding and may have been important in the evolution of highly social humans.

Social laughter, Dr. Dunbar suggests, relaxed and contagious, is “grooming at a distance,” an activity that fosters closeness in a group the way one-on-one grooming, patting and delousing promote and maintain bonds between individual primates of all sorts.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/14/science/14l... ***

It was written in the Bible that Laughter is good for our Health, and now they have proven it is so.

Not all is as it seems, and if we are given information, we should seek why, and seek an answer, to the best of our ability. Some will run off and try and prove all of this wrong, others will accept it as perhaps something they didn't know, and others would have already known it. Our actions from knowledge takes us to learning.... and defines the path we walk :)

So you are going to make a veiled not true Scotsman fallacy.
The main point is that if you need a 24-7 babysitter to do what's right, then you are mentally unstable and incapable of living on your own anyway, because that means you have desires to hurt other people.
No Kitty, I don't need a 24-7 babysitter to do what's right, I just do it. Temptation is perhaps something we all have, and I know for a fact that I have made many mistakes in my life. Repenting is a way of wiping the slate clean by asking for forgiveness for things that we have done in the past, not for what we intend to do in the future? I shoplifted as a teenager and got caught, but even if I hadn't got caught, I wouldn't have carried it on because the guilt was unbearable.

Each time I recall these things I ask for forgiveness ~ I no longer need to take them with me into my tomorrow, I am busy enough removing that which has been done.

GOD is with me, but my actions are my own, determined by my own personal and Spiritual goals ~ I want to have us much good stuff packed into my Vessel as possible when I too, give up my ghost and move into the next Realm, the next experience.

We are who we are....

Let me summarize it for you: Hebrews, Romans, etc., use their letters as numbers, too. The letters that spell out "Neron," or Nero, who was the ruler when Paul wrote his letters (and was also incredibly cruel to cultists/early Christians) add up to 666 if spelling Neron (what the Hebrews called Nero) or 616 for Nero. They used it as a sort of code, if you will.

2) Every sect claims that the holy spirit came to them.

Answer- I'm not every sect, I'm the daughter of 'God Almighty', who was filled with the Holy Spirit after a Baptism in Anaheim, CA. I was 21. To choose not to believe me, is okay, it's a hard thing to comprehend. Again, it was no delusion. I wasn't the only one...

3) You cannot change the definition of a word to suit your beliefs:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/rel ...
<quoted text>
Answer- If you say so...

4)I don't believe that there is even one case of proven faith healing and many cases where a person died trying, mostly defenseless children.
<quoted text>
Answer- There's been several. I will find them for you..I was a child, healed of a lump that required immediate surgery, my grandmother laid her hands on it,(in the name of Jesus) and it went away within 24 hours.. Doctors were baffled...

5)Indoctrination, you loved and revered your grandmother, so you believed what she taught you.
Answer- That might be one way to look at it... I have questioned her for many things concerning God... I Even told her that I did not believe in God, saying, it can't be true, it's not logical. But God went after me, just like I am doing to you...
<quoted text>

6)Didn't jesus turn water into wine? Choosing not to drink has nothing to do with religion.
<quoted text>
Answer- Yes he did, and choosing not to drink is personal, on the other hand, if I cause an alcoholic to stumble, or if I were to get drunk, and act foolish,...that person might think that's how Christians can act...Some of my Christian friends drink, I don't... I also don't judge, because I, don't want to be judged.

7)And because there are a lot of nasty things in there that you are required to do!
<quoted text>
Answer- Now you lost me on this one. Can you elaborate on what bad things in the Bible, I'm supposed to do?

8)Sounds a wee bit on the arrogant side, but... Well, just maybe I can get you to read your bible more, read up and some history and science.
Answer- Not arrogant, just confident. Okay, What would you have me read? I also like am a fan of 'Science& History'

TBS, Please don't get so caught up in mans interpretation of what God wrote in the Bible. It would confuse anyone. God wants your heart, not your head. What ever you choose to believe, makes no difference in the way I feel about you, or anyone else. I would still call you friend...

ps. I do agree with you about our gun rights...:)

If I may I would like to make some observations and I am well aware that I am an outsider to your country. Let me start with that the US and OZ are very similar but the there some subtle differences. As a friend of mine once said on his first trip out here said “everything is the same but different”. For example the cars are similar but we drive on the other side of the road.

SOCIALISM:
Socialism is a means of economic production as is capitalism. Neither extreme works and all countries are some where between the two. We have universal health care and unemployment benefits, is it perfect, NO, but nobody gets turned away from hospital and everybody gets treatment. The same goes for unemployment benefits.

To me it is important to try and look after those in need and not make them feel like rejects.

It seems to us outsiders to the US that Communism has become synonymous with Socialism which is not true. Communism is a political system as is Fascism.

CORRUPTION:
Why would a democratically elected government become excessively corrupt? Well from the outside we see people like J.E. Hoover (one SOB) who seems to have blackmailed politicians because of sexual conduct. Out here we could give a rat's about who our pollies f..k as long it is between consenting adults, as long it is not us.(which they do anyway). That's why we all have elections.

But it seems us that the US is almost paranoid about it.

DISASTERS:
Having no experience in the US I can't say. But having gone through a cyclone, floods and bushfires I have no fear of been shot for food.

A couple of years ago my youngest girl had her house burnt down due to arson. The community response for her and four children was staggering.

MEDIA:
One really big difference I see is in the media. We receive a huge amount of TV from the US but also from other countries and here lies the difference. An enormous amount of US programming is extremely violent, but have a real hang up sex and nudity. The reverse tends to be true from other countries. I am in noway saying that TV violence causes real world violence, but rather its acceptance as the norm is a symptom. I mean lets face it how many people do you know have murdered and how many do you know bonk?

bitly it, because my searches won't pull up anything you are attempting to show, I only frequent scientific papers on such matters and a result like yours will likely wind up below hundreds demonstrating that the resource itself is incorrect. So, in order to address it without bias I need to see it without such information prior.
