Prayer does work. It's fine that you think it doesnt work, but understand that your belief has no basis in reality.
Fuuny. The facts that prayer doesnt work is proof that God is imaginary.

Try healing an amputee with your magic incantations.

The fact is the only prayer that works is either coincidence or faith healing, which is purely psychological.

Prayer is pure superstition.

The only sites that can be used are athi-approved sites like godchecker & the evilbible ones...

Got it. I'll try to remember that...

Different disciplines of science try to explain things within their frames of reference used in that discipline. They try to explain it with what they know, their logic base derived from that study. Meteorology is an example.

But they all boil down to the transfers of energy within this environment and out universe. Physics based.

I harp on EM being the primary mover and shaker, because it is. It is the outer layer of what we call nuclear physics. It is a cushion of charge around a nucleus. It is also how we determine there is a nucleus. But that is not something I will get into now.

Here is a prime example of how your existence is EM driven. One you can observe for yourself.

Every single morning after the sun rises, it gets colder. That is the coldest part of the day. We start to get bombarded by solar radiation and it gets colder. This doesn't happen standing in front of a heater, but it does at the beginning of an energetic day. Here is why.

There is something called the Seebeck-Peltier Effect. This is energy transfers causing voltage differentials, and any accompanying current flows, within a chunk of matter, resulting in a temperature difference. Conversely, you change the temperature of a chunk, and it polarizes into voltage. One side of an electrical circuit is colder than the other side. Simply put, you are sucking energy from one spot leaving it colder, and heating up the other side with the addition of energy. This energy is in the form of EM. They make refrigerators and thermocouples using these principles.

Skin temperature is about 76-77 degrees. Anything cooler feels cooler. It is sucking heat from you, To notice this temp change in the morning means you have to be on the cooler side, or in higher altitudes, and not too focused on other things. It is really only in the range of a couple of degrees drop.

The sun rises, bombarding the atmosphere with EM energy that then starts a transfer. If you pay attention you will also notice on still mornings you will get a little breeze starting about 8 and ending before 11. It will tend to be westerly, but it depends on all sorts of atmospheric conditions. Varying air pressure and masses can redirect it.

When you get older, and don't have so much excess energy, you notice this more, too, if sitting still.

A constant varying flux of EM energy starts and keeps things running. The earth is a relative single mass, with many relative single masses, all bound together primarily by the EM force, and those single loosely bound by gravity, with this energy flow finding the path of least resistance, either because the material allows for it to flow, or it is to weak to fight it.

There is something else keeping you together, and us as a species for so many years, than this necessary randomness of energy transfer a universe set loose would allow for. There are lots and lots of cosmic forces that will smoke your ass in an instant.

Please tell me which scriptures you've misread.
Take off your Jebus glasses and read the Bible as it was written. You will find that the group of desert nomads that biblegod chose to give his revelations to, are the most barbarous, violent and deranged people on the planet.

True about DNA, opposite of what has been going on with God.
First, we lived in an Earth centered universe, with the sun orbiting us,'cause "God" designed the universe around us. Next we get a heliocentric universe,'cause the Earth centered model was silly. Finally we acknowledge nothing of the sort. Then we lost our status as specially Created, having evolved just like any other animal. The Bible turns out to not be literally true; Genesis is so incorrect as to be ridiculous. The Flood is a crazy fair tale. Then our psyche is deconstructed; it turns out our minds rest solely in our brains and that dualism cannot be supported by the evidence we have.
Kicking and screaming, the church altered their positions. One by one, Christianity's monopoly over describing the universe around us falls apart. It now no longer contributes, is utterly voiceless, in the production of new knowledge and technology about the world. Science has forever wrested that from religion.
We're not describing a Created world. We've thrown open the curtains on that, cast light on the illusion, shredded it, my dear Riverside. History shows that your God is running out of room, losing His safety net as our primitive ignorance is replaced with evidence based knowledge.
Your God, like all those before Him, is a fiction, a fantasy. He doesn't exist and with growing education "poof!" bye-bye bronze age beliefs. We consign you to history, God.
That is of course, your opinion.

At least you acknowledge that. You're one of the few that do.

Nope.
First, I don't say "god isn't real," what I have actually said, and what I continue to say, is that there is no demonstrably reliable evidence to support the notion of any form of creator, thus it is nothing more than fanciful dreams, however, purporting that something is real based on zero evidence is the very definition of delusional. As to prayer, all data on prayer demonstrates it to be as reliable as chance alone. In other words, people are better off rolling the dice than praying. No supportive evidence justifies a lack of belief, no demonstrable evidence demands that one does not believe.
Even if God is real in our minds? That's still not good enough for you is it? There's no way you will ackonwledge that God is possible, is there?

In practice, if we research one species in great depth, we can fill in the fossil record - like with humans, and show rapid gradual evolution. The hominin fossil record from H. erectus to now is so full of transition fossils, the argument is how to classify them all.
Now they've made up "rapid evolution". No wait, you said "rapid gradual evolution".

I dispute whether these figures are true. Sometimes our media can give a very bias view when an agenda is being followed.

However the theist believes that god sits idly by and does nothing whilst innocent people in wars are killed. Face it God does not answer prayer. This means a) he does not exist, or b) he does not care, an impersonal deity.

You may not like to face up to facts if they contradict your beliefs. The reality of prayers going unanswered is uncomfortable for some people. Theists do not like to admit the reality of their behaviour. Talking to imaginary sky people is not a rational thing to do. If you have problems you should address them yourself and not invoke magic or imaginary friends to solve your problems.
