The phrase “mentally disturbed” has a broad catch all meaning. Someone who walks around talking out loud to themselves while picking their nose all day might be mentally disturbed. That doesn’t make them a domestic terrorist and mass murder. Timothy McVeigh won’t be remembered for picking his nose.
No but he will be remembered as being a crazed mental case.

Dumb lies?

You mean our exercising our right to freedom of speech and freedom of religion?

Would you prefer all us Christians were rounded up in cattle cars and sent to Auschwitz? That would certainly end the “lies” as you call it. wouldn't it?

I blame the Federal Government as much as I blame Timothy McVeigh for what happened in the Okalahoma City Bombing.

Our Federal Government used US Army M-60 Tanks against women & children at Waco. It’s not any different than the Chinese using tanks on their people at Tiananmen Square. The Branch Davidians burned to death. This outrageous act caused Timothy McVeigh to cross the line into terrorism.

I don’t like or support what Timothy McVeigh did. Nor do I like what our Federal Government did in Waco Texas. I hope our Federal Government has learned what not to do next time. Because you can bet if the US Government uses tanks again against it’s own people. There will be another deranged individual like Timothy McVeigh to take vengeance.

You might find is surprising that I’m in 100% agreement with you on your statement below.
“The word 'trinity' appears nowhere in the bible. Neither does Rapture, or Second Coming, or Original Sin.”
And I might add I personally do not believe in a three person Godhead.
I’m monotheistic meaning I believe only in one God. I also don’t believe in the “Rapture” as it is traditionally thought of. But there is a reference to an event that will occur in the end times resulting in Christ coming back. In the book of Joel it’s referred to as that great and terrible day of the Lord.
I simply cannot take the Bible serious, eagle.

Not only Christianity but religions in general - this to me is all superstition and mythology.

Naturally, should one the bushes suddenly catch fire in my yard, I might take notice of a higher power, providing no natural calamity is evident and observable!

After all - I am an equal opportunity skeptic.

I for one respect and accept your right to believe as you will. I think nothing less of you as a person and will not debase you and call you names.

Many of the names of cities and places in the Bible are still there. For example there’s a real Jericho, Babylon, Egypt, Jerusalem and Bethlehem. There’s a grave site in Hebron where Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, and Leah are all buried.

Just like there’s a real grave site where Abraham Lincoln and JFK lay. These people in the Bible were all real people just like our former Presidents. But again I will not deprive you of your right to believe as you wish.[tipping hat]

I do enjoy a spirited conversation.
Like you, I have no agenda just opinions and comments.

Give this a look and then give me your opinion.

Sorry, I could not get your youtube link to work.

But to answer you question about why the stars have Arabic names and the constellations Greek and Roman?

I haven’t even consider it or done any research into it. But a brief check shows that the stars have names in a mix of Latin, Greek and Arabic. And it is all tied into the civilizations and cultures that studied the stars in prior history.

If your eyes are open then look at the evidence of a God in the hummingbird.

It’s complexity, precision ability to hover to do what it does seemingly effortlessly. Even it’s blood chemistry and ability to derive energy from nectar and maintain its extraordinary flight is genius. All evidence of a designer.

Their vision is also unparallel to none. I use to try and shoot them with a BB gun when I was a kid. They could see the BB coming at them in slow motion. They would simply move aside when the BB came near and then go back to taking in nectar. After repeated shots it didn’t even scare them away.

That kind of flying didn’t happen through mindless evolution or happenstance. That creature was designed.

Brits and Aussies make up a large percentage of Topix atheists.

Perhaps that explains it.

Its because you're ignorant that you don't realise you have no evidence of the god your cult sent you here to lie to us about.

Stick with the Asians, Dave's grandmother.

The top overall scores came from Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Macao and Japan, followed by Lichtenstein, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Estonia.

You've shown no causal link between a hummingbird and a god.

You've said a hummingbird is complex, therefore there must be a god.

That's neither science nor proof - its just blind belief.

There is no proof that any god ever existed.
