Oh the memories.
Evangelical Christians played a major deciding role in the American abolitionist movement.
-PBS 3 part series - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/fi...

Abolitionist allies Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, Harriet Beecher Stowe, John Brown and Angelina Grimké turned a despised fringe movement against chattel slavery into a force that literally changed the nation.

Agnostics, Jews, Atheists played their role...

A team of astronomers announced April 17, 2014, that they have discovered the first Earth-size planet orbiting a star in the so-called "habitable zone" -- the distance from a star where liquid water might pool on the surface. That doesn't mean this planet has life on it, says Thomas Barclay, a scientist at the Bay Area Environmental Research Institute at Ames and a co-author of a paper on the planet, called Kepler-186f. He says the planet can be thought of as an "Earth-cousin rather than an Earth-twin. It has many properties that resemble Earth." The planet was discovered by NASA's Kepler Space Telescope. It's located about 500 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cygnus. The picture above is an artist's concept of what it might look like. By Suzanne Presto, CNN

I think there is evidence of a creator. It's not the creator described in any of the Abrahamic religions.
I applaud you for this. I actually liked your description of your beliefs.
But I think an objective inquirer could conclude there is a creator. Some would conclude there is not.
Well, as a believer, you are going to think that your worldview is "normal and natural" and objectively real for all. That's a given.
There is evidence for both sides of the argument.
From which we can only draw inferences.

Anyways, clearly I disagree that both sides have evidence. I honestly don't see any evidence for deities - if I saw any at all, I'd have to conclude that my atheist position wasn't fully tenable and then I'd cease to be an atheist and become an agnostic or something.

But I understand that you see evidence. And I understand how belief and commitment to a worldview shape one's subjective reality such that evidence becomes invisible.
I am closer to the atheist view than the Christian view. I don't believe in a personal, interventionist God. But I believe there is something behind the curtain.
I told IANS once that I thought being an atheist is more rational than being a Christian.
I don't think he appreciated the degree of humility the statement required, given my background.
That was kind and honest of you. Once most people argue with someone else vehemently, including trading insults, it's pretty difficult to disturb our image of them.

But I thank you for the above.

We could have never reached the present. Can't traverse infinite time.
Polymath's offerings were soundly defeated, folded, spindled, and spoliated.
I know you've made this argument before, but I don't agree. No matter how far back the past goes, the present is right now.

So, sorry, my money remains on Poly.

NOTHING CREATES NOTHING, that is a fact.
After you explain how you could be born christian

And how you god dunitwiv magic from nothing (read the babble), it says so right there on the very first page. Funny how you can assume god dunitwiv nothing and be perfectly happy with that but deny any other scenario.

No it is not fact, it is outdated understanding as it stood a few years ago, just like poof god dunitwiv magic stood a few thousand years ago... outdated, superseded by new understanding

I have no wish to waste my time explaining simply for you to ignore – as you have done before... often. I am here for my pleasure, not to waste my time on your ignorance. However if you really want to educate yourself there are many (at least 260 million) hits on google that will explain “something from nothing”. May I suggest you go for the scientific sites
