The earliest know to Europeans, because who gives a shit about the other half of the world, right? You're basing all of this on limited knowledge. Atheism doesn't give people hope. People do. All the hope in the world won't help much if it exists because of a delusion.
Indeed.

Hope in something that is entirely false, is a trap-- and when the falsehood is discovered, causes far more harm, than not having the false hope at all.

Brilliant!

And you neatly point out the one of the most common mistakes 'Murricans make.

Really? Interesting. And not *that* surprising-- there was limited interaction between North American and Europe before Columbus.

I disagree. Your incorrect assumption of Matthew 6:6 tells me that you don't understand it very well. You read it verbatim, sentence by sentence without caring about any kind of structure or context. In other words, you only read the surface and then scream "No! It's all a lie!!"

Doubt away.

But if you want evidence, go back and look at the time span in between the bulk of my posts. You'll notice a big chunk of RR, then a void, then another big chunk, etc.

RR didn't used to have two hour time spans between posts....

Correct. It's an utter lack of belief or faith in bullshyt (god). You cannot base morals on a **lack** of belief.

You need something else, like Secular Humanism.
Eagle 12 wrote:
It’s a belief that embraces nothingism.
Lie. Atheism is not belief in "nothingism" (which isn't even a word).

Atheism simply means the person does not fall for the god bullshyt.

That's it.
Eagle 12 wrote:
There’s no code of conduct or benevolent duty with being Atheist. Nor is there any required standard of principles for them to follow.
Correct-- except for the not-believing-in-insane-concep ts-like-god part.

You keep leaving that out.

I suppose because you *do* believe in the insane god-idea.

That explains why you keep getting it wrong...
Eagle 12 wrote:
The belief in nothingism produces no compassionate felling for their fellow man.
There is no such thing as "belief in nothingism".

More of your insanity?

That seems reasonable.
Eagle 12 wrote:
For example Atheist have no code of conduct that bans lying, deceitfulness, treachery, treason, false accusations, deception, theft to name a few. Some Atheist certainly are law abiding and good citizens. I’m just saying Atheism as a whole has no code of conduct.
Look up Secular Humanism.

It's a superior moral code to your evil bible in every way possible.

I know. I'm not trying to pass internal judgment on anyone. You have never seen me write anything like "you are going to hell" or "you will burn in hell".

You haven't seen that from me and you won't see that from me, because I understand that Jesus forbids humans to pass eternal judgment on others.

If I was reading Matthew verbatim then I'd need to be fluent in Greek. As it is I'm trusting in the accuracy of someone else's translation into English. But aside from that, you are saying I'm wrong without presenting your case of what it does say and mean. So I have no reason to believe that you have an alternative explanation.

It's just the way it is. Can you start believing in Santa Claus again?

Same thing here. I'd need a major head injury to start believing in fairy tales again.
I never believed in Santa Claus, so to say I could start believing in Santa Claus "again" would not be possible.

Since you don't believe in Santa Claus, which I assume you're comparing to your lack of belief in God, do you spend an equal amount of time arguing with people about the existence of Santa Claus or the validity of his "list"? Do you argue with people that he doesn't actually check it twice?
