Well, the radical muslims are ramming planes into American property. The non-radical muslims lied about Osama's whereabouts. Isn't it stupid not to be Islamophobic?

Islam is really a hybrid between a political party and a religion. We need to tax those mosques.
No other religion would do those things and retain non-profit status.

It should hardly be surprising that atheists have at lest as much disdain for Islam as we do for Christianity. In many ways, it appears to be a giant step backwards from the gentling of religion in the NT to the brutal judgmentalism of the OT. If the Jewish rebels during the Roman occupation of Jerusalem could have blown up important buildings in Rome or annihilated its citizens , do you think they would have hesitate? I don't. Modern Jews may be among the most enlightened of today's peoples, but I think that their ancient forbears were very like today's Muslim extremists.

With a few exceptions, religion tends to benefit society more with its prohibitions than with its prescriptive passages. Keeping believers from lying, cheating, stealing, and killing can only make things better. Killing for trivial and mostly private transgressions, insisting that the general public obey religious laws, fatwas, and jihads can only add misery and danger to modern living, and Islam is definitely more extreme than Christianity in that regard.

We live in a mostly Christian society, so it's natural that we should focus our attention on limiting its influence to the faithful as opposed to society at large. But there's no reason Islam should get a pass when it presents problems that have to be addressed.
