You love lying, don't you? When as anyone ever said you deserve to die because you don't believe in science? I am pretty sure you have no problem in the theory of gravity, the germ threory, etc.

Problem is, you are selective in which science you want to believe, because some may go against your baseless religious claims, just as you are likely selective in which bible verses to follow.

Mayor Bill de Blasio has paid a call on Pope Francis’ top aide to discuss migration issues.

De Blasio met Monday with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican secretary of state, during his family trip to Italy.

Vatican spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi said the two explored
“We spoke a lot about immigration, about the immigration crisis in Central America now affecting the United States,” de Blasio said.“The church has been a leader in calling for compassion and support and a humanitarian response as opposed to a political response to the crisis.”

Parolin recently returned from a meeting in Mexico dedicated to migration issues and human rights.
Pope Francis has called for “urgent intervention” to protect migrant minors crossing into the United States on their own. Earlier this month, de Blasio signed a measure offering ID cards to city residents regardless of immigration status.

I love telling the truth :). Also, I don't believe in theories, I believe in facts. Also, even if something is true, it isn't a fact until proven.

Let's say I murder someone and people accuse me of being a murderer. Those people are right, but it's not a fact that I've murdered someone until they actually come with solid evidence I did it.

Now go on ape. Eat fleas off your back and go to your ape relatives Cujo.

That's the thing with Evolution and The Big bang, It hasn't been proven, it's a educated guess and "Educated guess" doesn't mean it's true.

That's why it's called the THEORY of Evolution and that's why it's called the Big Bang theory.

Oh, you mean like the theory of evolution, gravity, the big bang, etc. All the known evidence supports these theories as fact.

I hope you never make jury duty, because you would let a perfectly inocent man go to jail, or let a guilty man walk free, because you do not understand what constitutes as evidence.

Hey atheists, I've come here to talk some sense into you people. First of all it's outrageous that you believe there is no God that created us. Secondly, what is the point of rubbing your atheism in other people's faces if God doesn't exist and nothing matters? It makes no sense. You do have faith, just in something else.
I cannot see how people can take atheism seriously at all..... it's sad. There is no logical premise to it, it's just an assumption based on an absolute, stone cold lack of evidence. atheists come to faulty conclusions based on an argument from ignorance, faulty logic and fault assumptions which have no basis in reality.
I have a huge house, a nice sports car, a beautiful wife, 3 kids, lots of money and I'm ripped like crazy. I was captain of the football team and I am also a boxing champion. So if any of you atheists want to step up and take me on, I can defeat you on a personal and intellectual level. You people obviously don't have very high IQs though, that's the reason I don't expect much from atheists in the first place....
While I do enjoy you sharing your mythology with us, and your alleged concern about our future life in your magical place called heaven, we really don't care - thank you.

Does your God give you "brownie points" for converting an atheist?
Double credit for turning a Muslim into a Christian?

You say you don't care, then ask for elaboration.

Which is it?

Are you lying in the first statement or the second?

I don't. People can believe whatever they choose; it's not for me to decide that. I don't hate you for believing in what you were taught or what you were brought up to believe. I have the freedom to believe what I want just as you do. All I want is to see atheists and Christians to stop fighting and just enjoy themselves-stop insulting each other, stop being so mean, and just accept their differences. Is that too much to ask for? Some of my best friends are Christians and I don't mind at all. It doesn't matter to me. Religion is just religion; there are good and bad people within both it and non-religion.

And I'm not rubbing it in your face, I'm just stating what I believe, but saying I accept any point of view that's different from my own. I'm a writer for that reason. I love seeing different viewpoints.

Talking some sense into you people...

This thread title belongs in any religious forum.

It is these people, motivated solely by dogma and superstition, that really need common sense pounded into them.

most religion is based on a claim of an a bsolute. If a God does not exist that certainly does not imply that nothing matters. An atheist can have faith in something - just not in a God/ That is by definition.. Atheism is not an assumption. It is merely a lack of belief. You have a horrid value system, and a horrid sense of pride about your self - money and physical power are nothing to brag about. Intellect and morality are. I doubt that your intellect and your morality would be as admirable as that of almost any atheist on this forum - though you may take on Skeptic (who claims to know there is no God) since he is a braggart like you are. No one atheist is responsible for the views of another, or the conduct of the other. Atheists are not a cult.
Most atheists are agnostic atheist who simply do not believe in a God, but do not claim to know that there is no God the way one would know about some proven (at least so far) scientific fact. Skeptic is not a skeptic - he claims to know there is no God and you may abuse him all you wish with my blessing, so to speak

it is a bit funny that each side uses the insulting language of calling folks "you people" and talking down to them. The demonization of the other is always alive and well on topix. Atheists are certainly not a cohesive group. I don't think believers are either.
