Richard Dawkins - God is evil, pedophilesa not so bad

Sep 14, 2013 Full story: Examiner.com 3,031

"The God of the Qur'an is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.

Luck!

Glad you enjoyed the Warehouse...

Just got my car after walking back from last night's bash. I'm off out at 5pm for a big session, toilet rolls in the freezer and the ingredients for a full English in the fridge. Planning to be legal to drive by 8pm Sunday just in time for some more drinks.

It's the reason for the season.

Nope, all legal and above board.
Was a good night by the way and contrary to expectation I did enjoy the club afterwards.
Now I have half an hour before 40 excited and screaming kids hit the fan wish me luck

There is one question I must ask you. Who do you rely on for information about Mohammad & Islam in general, and can you recommmend some books on Islam?

Hello there, I really would love to say merry christmass to you too, but I cannot because the Christmass for you is the birthday of the son of God or the birthday of God himself.

even if that date 25 of december was accurate; for me it would be the birthday of a prophet and we dont even celebrate the birthday of Mohammed.
according to some muslim scholars opinions; muslims shouldnt say merry christmass to christians, we of course should live with them in peace and visit them , be kind and...etc but we still shouldnt say merry christmass because it may carry some sort of agreement that god's son was born at that day or god himself was born :)
So enjoy the holiday man ;)

Wa Alaikom al Salam man, I hope you are doing great .
for hadiths of mohammed you should always check the grade of the hadith this forum is monitored by specialized Hadith scientists
http://www.ahlalhdeeth.com/vbe/index.php

for fatwas, opinions and answers to any question may cross your mind this website might be the best http://www.islamweb.net/emainpage/ , they have trusted sources and show different opinions for different madhabs and schools.

-http://talkislam.com.au/ I recommend this one for general information about islam and beginners.

for mohammed (PBUH) I recommend ( The Sealed Nectar (Ar-Raheeq Al-Makhtum), by S. al-Mubarakpuri ) its a very good book.

and you can find an audio biography (The Life of the Last Prophet, by Yusuf Islam) its nice and very easy to understand.

For me christmas is a great excuse to get wankered with friends and family.

Religion does not even slightly figure.

I'm not sure jesus even existed in any form.

I think that's fair enough, could it be possible that the whole story of Jesus was made up ??
and now more than 1.6 billion Muslims and probably 3 Billion Christians believe in Jesus..!!!
so what might be the purpose of making up such a story ?? to encourage the troops maybe ..!!

Salaam Brother Hazem, I appreciate your feedback, but why should I read a bio written by Mubarakpuri & Yusuf Islam and why not Ibn Ishaq, Martin Lings, Ali Dashti, Mohd Hussein Hykal, & Maxime Rodinson?

Clearly many people have a propensity to believe such things, especially as they are taught these stories from a very young age. This may not always be so.

The majority used to think that cholera was spread by bad smells, when in fact cholera was water-borne. When John Snow proposed this in 1854, it was not universally accepted.

of course you could, I only recommended mubarakpuri's book because it was highly appreciated by big Muslim scholars and got so many prizes for the accuracy and depended on authentic and original sources, and Yusuf Islam's way in narrating is really good and exciting.
there are numerous books and biographies written by Orientalists who dont know the true and actual essence of Islam thus some of them failed to reflect an accurate image of Mohammed Peace be Upon him.
