Wrong conclusion. It had to do with the continued existence of Christianity despite opposition whereas mithraism is long gone.

Physical evidence? No. There is no physically verifiable evidence that any god exists. That is I suppose why they call it a faith.
Good! You agree that believing in your stupid hate-cult, Genuine Christianity™ is irrational.

For that is what FAITH is: irrational.

Faith is believing in something you KNOW isn't real, just because you desperately wish it were real.

Lie.

Your Jewsus is just a re-tread of the older myths.

All of the >>important<< details are exactly the same as the others, such as Mytharas (to name one).

** late-december birth
** virgin birth
** parents fleeing a bad king
** holy/wise/educated people come to pay homage
** magical childhood
** confounding the entrenched priests
** doing magic tricks (miracles)
** raising the dead
** being persecuted by authorities
** being tortured & killed
** becoming a Zombie after 3 days
** returning to "heave" from whence he came

-----

Noting new. Nothing original. Same-old, same-old.

What is >>ORIGINAL<< about your dead jew on a stick again?

That's right: nothing.

You may know that 25 December is not the date accepted by Christianity as the date of Jesus birth. His birth date is unknown. It was adopted by the Catholic Church +- 300 years after Christianity has already begun and was chosen in order to compete with the pagan winter solstice festivals.
There is in any case no historical evidence of his birth.
<quoted text>
He was no great teacher that Christianity would “import” as his claimed merit is that of a warrior, quite contrary to the Christian message. As it is merely myth, and possibly amended from time to time, it is even suggested that the present “teachings” are actually inspired by Christianity to give it some “decency”, considering his claimed life.
It is interesting that it is claimed he fought with the sun ( and that must have been something to see!) But what the heck, the little cult soon died out – so much for their “god”- and contrary to Christianity that continues despite severe opposition from time to time. Old Hitler did not do much to help, as killing of Christians in persecuting countries.
<quoted text>If there are any similarities, it seems that the Christian should be accepted as truth based on the fact that the record of what has happened has been prophesied long before and no evidence exists – historical or otherwise - for the physical existence of Mithra.- contrary to the Biblical and secular historical evidence of Jesus Christ, his life and death:
There is apparently also no evidence prior to +- 200 AD that what is now accepted as Mithraism, was in fact taught. It is indeed a “mystery religion”.
<quoted text>Thank you for bringing this up. If you read the part, you will see that the occasion was the siege of Samaria, when there was no food at all and people apparently went to extremes to stay alive. But if you read a bit further, you will see that Elisha the prophet prophesied that the following day food will again be freely available. This happened as the next few verses explains:
2Ki 7:6 For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
2Ki 7:7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
But I am sure you would only agree to the apparent "negative" part, mentioned out of context and disregard that which is stated later.
Still nothing ORIGINAL about your dead stick-jew.

Prove me a liar. Do you have proof God does not exist? Looking forward to a reasoned reply and not emotional rhetoric (again supporting my view of emotion rather than fact being your motivation.)
We have no need to do so.

It is YOU who has this incredible and UNBELIEVABLE claim.

It is therefore up to YOU to prove them valid.

All WE have to do? Is find fault with your claim-- which we have.

Which renders your claim INVALID.

I think we have come to the end of what may have been an interesting discussion if you have been able to provide factual and well researched data to prove that the facts stated in the Bible is false.
It is quite disappointing that, as in previous discussions, only hints was made. No hard facts. And you are supposed to rely on hard facts - you know the stuff that one can touch!! That again shows clear evidence that your persuasion is based on emotion and not fact at all.
It is no wonder then that modern "science" is mostly theoretical rather than experimental.
Getting to the voodoo "science" of evolution, some interesting facts transpire.
One of the main "gurus", Richard Dawkins admits to intelligent design, yet it must be little spacemen that seeded stuff here. Now that is really scientific, seeing that NO evidence has ever been found of these little wizards(and not because they are not seriously looking for these , even tiny suggestions of other intelligence somewhere).
But from a Christian some airy fairy stuff to consider:
"All this means that the chance that any kind of a 200-component integrated functioning organism could be developed by mutation and natural selection just once, anywhere in the world, in all the assumed expanse of geologic time, is less than one chance out of a billion trillion. What possible conclusion, therefore, can we derive from such considerations as this except that evolution by mutation and natural selection is mathematically and logically indefensible! " That is making the assumption that 50% of mutations are beneficial (it is in fact extremely rare)
And you accept this poor excuse for science as fact!
Apart from this, experiments thus far has conclusively shown that life does not originate from non-living material.

Now my friend, as you can see, you are absolutely demolished by the very stuff - scientific evidence/ maths - yet you still believe in the biggest hoax ever with logical conclusions that leaves you with no grounds for morality.

I may pop in from time to time to read further absurdities, but for now, I'll have to say good bey!

Seriously now, investigate the facts yourself and let no one keep telling you lies, parading as fact (see history of evolution)

It seems you have to check your sources as Mithra was also claimed to be a “rock god” born as a full-grown man from rock. But there is of course a different version. So take your pick! So much for a lesson that has to be corrected by the "student"! Ooops!
Physical evidence? YES!

Is is a sad situation that you must deny reality... so I will bombard you even more'evidence'IN STONE!

Horus/Osiris of Egypt

In the Egyptian MYTH, Horus and his once-and-future Father, Osiris, are frequently interchangeable, as in “I and my Father are one

As Col. James Chruchward naively exclaims,“The teachings of Osiris and Jesus are wonderfully alike. Many passages are identically the same, word for word.”

Osiris was also the god of the vine and a great travelling teacher who civilized the world. He was the ruler and judge of the dead. In his passion, Osiris was plotted against and killed by Set and “the 72.” Like that of Jesus, Osiris’s resurrection served to provide hope to all that they may do likewise and become eternal.

Osiris’s “son” or renewed incarnation, Horus, shares the following in common with Jesus:

--Horus was born of the virgin Isis-Merion December 25 in a cave/manger with his birth being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men.
--His earthly father was named “Seb”(“Joseph”).
--He was of royal descent.
--At at 12, he was a child teacher in the Temple, and at 30, he was baptized having disappeared for 18 years.
--Horus was baptized in the river Eridanus or Iarutana (Jordan) by “Anup the Baptizer”(“John the Baptist”), who was decapitated.
--He had 12 desciples, two of who were his “witnesses” and were named “Anup” and “Aan”(the two “Johns”).
--He performed miracles, exorcised demons and raised El-Azarus (“El-Osiris”), from the dead.
--Horus walked on water.
--His personal epithet was “Iusa,” the “ever-becoming son” of “Ptah,” the “Father.” He was thus called “Holy Child.”
--He delivered a “Sermon on the Mount” and his followers recounted the “Sayings of Iusa.”
--Horus was transfigured on the Mount.
--He was crucified between two thieves, buried for three days in a tomb, and resurrected.
--He was also the “Way, the Truth, the Light,”“Messiah,”“God’s Anointed Son,”“the “Son of Man,” the “Good Shepherd,” the “Lamb of God,” the “Word made flesh,” the “Word of Truth,” etc.
--He was “the Fisher” and was associated with the Fish (“Ichthys”), Lamb and Lion.
--He came to fulfill the Law.
--Horus was called “the KRST,” or “Anointed One.”
--Like Jesus,“Horus was supposed to reign one thousand years.”

Furthermore, inscribed about 3,500 years ago [1500 years before Jesus’ alleged advent] on the walls of the Temple at Luxor were images of the Annunciation, Immaculate Conception, Birth and Adoration of Horus, with Thoth announcing to the Virgin Isis that she will conceive Horus; with Kneph the “Holy Ghost,” impregnating the virgin; and with the infant being attended bh three kings, or magi, bearing gifts. In addition, in the catacombs at Rome are pictures of the baby Horus being held by the virgin mother Isis—the original “Madonna and Child.”

It is not up to me, is it?

No-- it is up to YOU to prove the bible is TRUE.

Which you failed miserably to do.

You keep trying to shift the burden of proof from yourself.

All I need to do, as a skeptic? Is ask for your PROOF that your bible really is from a deity.

Until you do that?

All I need to do, is point out you have no proof for your wild claim (bible <== a god) and my responsibility is done.

The DEFAULT is this: the bible is false/fiction unless you can show otherwise.

You did not do that-- you didn't even try...
