Please note that for this article "Atheism" also includes agnostics, deists, pagans, wiccans... in other words non-religious.

You will notice this is a statement of fact. And to be fact it is supported by evidence (see references below). Now you can have "faith" that this is not true, but by the very definition of faith, that is just wishful thinking. Full Story

No way are you Jewish sorry you really screwed up that time Junior. Best change your screen name and back to the trolling board.

Perhaps if you were informed you would know that 1) We Jews call the Tenach the Bible and 2) there us a very large Messianic Jewish movement.

So there once again you have been shown to be totally ignorant. By the way I am Jewish, don't really care if you believe that or not.

Large messianic Jewish movement? Try again.

You're stone cold busted chump. Jews don't go around talking about the holy bible that's a Christian thing.

But a clue reject you're not even good at trolling.

You can sum up every single post of yours as... I believe in Yahweh and insult insult insult ad hom.

Now throw in some awful misspellings and grammar mistakes that would make an 9th grader cringe and there you go.

So why did you stop using your other screen names? People ignoring them right? Right.

Perhaps if you took the time to start at page one of this thread and read it all you would know better and retract your insults of me. But then more than likely not.

If you truly want liberty set your mind free and read the Torah and ask YHVH the God of Israel to help you understand what you are reading.

If that is what you choose to base your faith on then so be it.
Actually, my worldview is based on the real and tangible truths provided by science rather than the primitive barbarism of the Bible.

Which is more likely?

A perfect and omniscient entity like your god (who we hear is positively overflowing with love for his people) creates a primitive and barbaric justice system and expects his creation to enact it.

or

A primitive and barbaric people produce tales of a primitive and barbaric god who wants his followers to follow a primitive and barbaric justice system. Which, co-incidentally, is the only kind of justice these people know.

I was just showing how, according to the Bible, Moses went to the mountain several times. As far as I am concerned, some may be inspired by God or not, just as any major work of art may also be inspired, or not. According to the Bible, all scripture is divinely inspired. Isn't it funny how many Christians don't believe what's in their book?
Yes, I know what you mean.

I doubt that even Colin believes everything that's in the Bible.

That's some God.
Absolutely!

A god who kills as a first resort is certainly not worthy of our worship.

That's the trouble with followers of the OT god: you have to defend genocide and equate it to an act of transcendent love.

Ah, so you believe that when the Bible says "a day" it means "a day" and not a thousand years as many other believers do?

All of creation shouts with evidence of YHVH the God of Israel, you just choose to ignore the very obvious evidence that is so clear to so many.
As for the muslims I have already answered thus several times.
Comparing the Bible to the Quran, I'd say you're a lot closer to Islam than you'd like to admit.

Here are a few mythological characters that appear in the Quran: God, Satan, Adam, Eve, Noah, Lot, Jonah, Job, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, Solomon, Joseph, John the Baptist and Jesus.

Fact: Christians and Muslims believe in a god exacting revenge on his creation.

Fact: Both Christianity's and Islam's holy books contain many of the same myths and mythological characters.

Fact: Both Christians and Muslims believe in a load of crazy rituals that amount to so much superstitious mumbo jumbo.

Fact: Islam is on the rise and Christianity is on the wane.

Fact: If you already believe in one lot of ancient superstition, it won't be difficult for you to convert to another.

The simple reason is because it is accurate 100% accurate everything, there is no other theory or conjecture that even comes close. Why don't you try to pose one for us?
We can all see how you look to the Bible when you want to read about cosmology.

DO you also refer to the Bible for your geology, anthropology, astronomy, zoology, biology, geometry, etc?

The Hebrew word is 'yom' it means a period of time mostly it has a definitive description like " the evening and the morning were the first 'yom'". In this case it is a 24 hour day. However there are times in prophecy when it does not mean a 24 hour period.
