Why Atheism Will Replace Religion

There are 14730 comments on the News24 story from Aug 27, 2012, titled Why Atheism Will Replace Religion. In it, News24 reports that:

Please note that for this article "Atheism" also includes agnostics, deists, pagans, wiccans... in other words non-religious.

You will notice this is a statement of fact. And to be fact it is supported by evidence (see references below). Now you can have "faith" that this is not true, but by the very definition of faith, that is just wishful thinking.

You can attempt to spin it any way you like but the catholic church, which is after all the oldest christian church, all others are apostates will tell you in no uncertain terms where you are bound if you do not keep the lawdds commandments.
Other little christian cults like The Western Branch of American Reform Presbylutheranism may feel they have the answer but then all the answers are incorrect.
You do not go to `gods abode` if you neglect the poor.
We have conveniently shifted from the notion that jesus was a marxist egalitarian to whether there is a hell. This is quite common among christian republicans who cant reconcile the concept of christian charity with their political leanings calling for less social welfare and smaller government.
What was Joseph told by god to do when he was warned of the famine approaching Egypt? RAISE TAXES!
Even your god is a god of big government.
Of course all religions are in the propaganda of the rich or the mighty ones!

<quoted text>I pity people that believe that they have the absolute answer to anything. There may or may not be any god. If there is or isn't is apparently of little to no consequence because we are obviously left to fend for ourselves regardless. As for the Abrahamic god(s) those seem highly unlikely but, a abstract broad definition god(s).. who really knows. The fact that it is an unknown/unprovable does not make it non-existant or an impossibility. Absolutes are for narrow minded fools.
Yah, the spaghetty monster is not impossible, but there is no reality for it. So forget it! The Easter bunny is not impossible, still forget it, there is no reality. Just forget all myths!

That statement should be modified ;)

Gods are nonexistent.

Remember, there are more than just one God on our planet.
Gods tend to reside very close to where their followers are born or raised.

Neither do these Gods communicate with one another, thus each culture must adapt to its own local God.

<quoted text>WHere does any of that mention "hell"? Did Jesus say that the rich man would go to hell? No, he sad it would be difficult for him to enter the kindom of heaven. Maybe you should look into how greek mythology influenced the NT. None of that "hell" stuff is in the OT. Apparently something got mixed up in translation. Try talking to a Jew about hell. blah blah blah... Jesus (according to the bible) promoted chatiy not socialism.
Whatever the bible says is not believeable!

Joseph was not told a single word by a nonexistant god.

That's self contradictory. Because if your statement were true, it would be 100% right, and then there would be something 100% right, your statement, and that would make your statement false.

A few days before the Catholic church's earthly and religious power were on global display, the Obama administration signalled its own very different idea of the proper relationship between church and state.

It did so by giving a senior job to a high-powered lawyer who takes a sophisticated liberal view, in American terms, of the terms on which government and faiths should interact.

Melissa Rogers is the new director of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighbourhood Partnerships; in an earlier life she was the general counsel for the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty.

In other words, she is a Baptist separationist, taking her cue from a particular interpretation of Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Baptists of Danbury in 1802, calling for a "wall of separation" between religion and government.

American debates on church and state can be confusing to follow (even for Americans) because conservatives and liberals alike say they are rooting for religious freedom; and all sides pay homage to the two axioms enshrined in the first amendment—
that there should be no impediment to the free exercise of religion,

and no move to establish any religion.

Nothing about "it's possible things exist" is related to "the bible is not 100% right."

There's no worry.
Why are you so worried that you'll come to your senses about the non-existence of god?

Where does it say that or anything even close to it. POST BOOK, CHAPTER AND VERSE.
Oh, read your damned buybull.

I post that answer at least once a week if not more, and I know that I have posted it for you, and more than once. If it keeps getting repeatedly posted, we just might win over some more Christains and convince them to become atheist. And if we have to show them what their own buybull says they really aren't smart enough to join us. I mean they don't even know, or care to know the thing they claim to worship.

Case in point: How do you feel about a god who would make you eat your children?

Oh, say it ain't so. A Christain bible god who make people chow down on their friends and family? That could really change the concept of "Dinner on the Grounds", that Southern nosh-fest, usually held outside the church after the worship services concludes.

Typical fare now is BBQ, lots of greasy fried foods, casserole dishes and a thousand or so extremely high calorie deserts. Imagine Ragout of Ronald, and Butter Basted BBQ'ed Barbara, a Charles Dallman Casserole, Deep-fried David, and at least two different recipes for Green Beans with sliced Greta, added to the usual offerings.

Ezekiel 29:10-11 Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia. No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.

Never in its long history has Egypt ever been uninhabited for forty years.

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

Damascus is still inhabited today with over a million people, and hardly a ruinous heap.

Zechariah 11:12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.

Christians say that this prophecy is was fulfilled when Judas received 30 pieces of silver for betraying Jesus. Matthew 27:9 recites this verse, but incorrectly credits Jeremiah with the prophecy.

"I could not believe that anyone who had read this book would be so foolish as to proclaim that the Bible in every literal word was the divinely inspired, inerrant word of God. Have these people simply not read the text? Are they hopelessly uninformed? Is there a different Bible? Are they blinded by a combination of ego needs and naivete"?
