It would seem the pro-life movement has acquired an unlikely supporter. On Wednesday, Richard Dawkins, a vocal proponent of atheism and the author of The God Delusion, posted a provocative tweet about abortion: With respect to those meanings of "human" that are relevant to the morality of abortion, any fetus is less human than an adult pig.

and it went viral on FB when SCOTUS began considering two cases that could extend equal protection under the law to marriage for gays:

But I figured a week was long enough to voice my support and changed my avatar back here and to a new one on FB. I'm not the most frequent poster here, though, and there are probably others who didn't notice either.
Homosexuality is evil, do you accept that though? You have been patient, so you don't need to be attacked, but you are simply misimformed, not a damaged goods of a scum.

I'm sure I saw a documentary where a female scorpion tried to grab the claws of the male to mate. That is male behaviour and so the 'straight' scorpion killed her. So I think scorpions might be said to display homosexual behaviour too, but they aren't on Wiki's list.

Most religionists that object to what they think of as 'the homosexual act' seem to have anal sex in mind. Ignoring the fact that some homosexuals don't engage in anal sex and some heterosexuals do isn't the least of their ignorance. They argue that homosexual relationships are okay as long as there is no sex.

Another mistake such religionists make is to argue that 'marriage' is between a man and a woman and society &/or the institution of marriage would be harmed (instead of enhanced) if homosexual relationships were recognised using 'married',(as opposed to a term many feel is discriminatory or 'second class', like 'civil partnership'). That is not true equality if it makes some homosexuals feel their marriage is viewed as somehow inferior to a heterosexual one.

I think it tolerable that Christian sects like Roman Catholics keep 'Roman Catholic marriage' for heterosexuals only and be discriminatory in that way within the RC Church. That is their problem and prejudice. It seems bigotry to insist that homosexuals cannot be married in any secular, social or legal sense, let alone that there is something inherently degrading or discreditable about gay or lesbian sexual orientation.

For what it's worth, I noticed you using the pink/red equal sign avatar. I think it is US centric but I really respect the intention.

Rofl! Obviously you still hate men. You hate anything Phallic. You are not confident unlike real women, you are worthless, your husband has no use for you. Real women can think, instead of being gullible. What did your boyfriend do with you? Gullible little idiot!
No little boy, you hate women.

You are right, real women can think and have tossed aside male phallic worship and the religions that are based on such. Poor you, can't operate or feel like a man if women are considered equal.

The only attention you get from women is on the computer and they are slapping you around.

I see homosexuality as another state of being, neither evil nor virtuous. I don't pretend to know why gays are the way they are, and it's not really my concern. All I have to know is that they are fellow humans and just as deserving of kindness as their straight counterparts. Why be unkind to anyone, really?

Nice post!

Some feel the need to patrol the sex practices of consenting adults. I believe this is encouraged by religion that tends to focus on sexual matters more than anything else as they collect money supposedly to help the poor and needy and use it instead for these attention getting campaigns.

Well said. What two consenting adults do with each other in the bedroom is their business not mine. We have no right or reason to dictate to two consenting adults how they spend their time.

I think everyone should have equal opportunities for happiness in this regard.

At our condo there is an elderly couple both in their mid 70s. These two gay gentlemen have been together for 50 plus years! They actually told their story at a local community event. They explained how they met, fell in love, worked together traveling the country and the tremendous effort required to hide the relationship... Even going so far as to when suspicions arose one would purposely flirt with a super attractive wife of a well to do customer. Just enough to be admonished and get her waging her tongue about that flirty ticket vender. Certainly through the years they had some adventures keeping it hidden.

Now they have no reason to do so, they are retired and financially set, in a safe progressive environment and just happy to live out their lives.

They are also self described Christians. Upon saying that hands quickly went up asking how they could be Christians when they bible says such and such. The gentleman with the cane said simply, God made me this way and we are all sinners how can anyone claim my sin is greater than theirs? It would be impossible to perfectly follow each and every rule in the bible so we all just do the best we can, hurt nobody and let God almighty be the one to decide after we die.... This brought on applause from damn near all in attendance. I had to clap myself because I could see how furious it made the Rush Limbaugh crowd. Lol!

You are overally comical, young lady. You are gullibe, and listen to what feminists tell you, and you like understanding. You are ignorant when it comes to understanding both genders, and you hate men. You hate Phallic worshipping, and want to engage is homosexual women worshipping tendencies.

Did you also try to replace your mother with another women and want to suck her tits instead because you thought your mother didn't love you? Rebellious little turd!

Remember, I also called you "unimformed", reluctently, as since you have been polite, I didn't want to look like I was condensing or patronizing.

I was calling you unimformed when it came to issues relating to the evils of homosexuality.

I have evidence that homosexuality is unnatural. It is against what is human, so it is not at all virtious.
