LMAO – didn't know there were 7 states that don't allow atheists to hold public office.(I pays to spend time most of my time researching these facts, and less time reading atheist responses, lol.)

<quoted text>Shame on the USA. Still, the USAmericans have overcome prejudice against women, blacks and gays. Lets hope they overcome absurd prejudices against non-believers.

Religion/atheism is a waste of time and sensible people should reject such rubbish. Atheism exists simply because religion does. Simply put: there are no gods or pixies.
Religion = superstition
So, you condemn the prejudice against atheism, but in the same breath you expose your own prejudice against religion!

A double whammy!

Saying "Religion = superstition" is just as offensive and intolerant than saying "Atheism = Evil".

The clue to peaceful cohabitation is surely tolerance on both sides, and not confrontation.

I'm not prejudiced against religion. You don't know what you're talking about Rio.

I am simply pointing out that religion is outdated superstition and the harm it does, that's all.

My question for you would be,what right do you have to make such a call about other peoples faiths and beliefs?
None! you are entitled to your opinion.But sorry to tell you Religion and peoples faith will long out live you and every one else.Until human race is gone religion will be practiced and believed in.

You answer your own question. I'm entitled to voice my opinion, not "none!"

Then you have nothing to worry about. Don't get your knickers in a twist.

I suspect that what really bothers you is that what I say is essentially correct.

Religion = superstition

That is your problem my friend, not mine. I'm uninterested in religion/atheism per se. I'm unhappy at the problems religion causes that I've listed above.

How can you reconcile that with the fact that you wrote "Religion = Superstition"?

You are the one who is confused here.

You want atheists to be accepted, but you still advocate the virulent brand of atheism that claims superior thinking, denigrates believers, and pretends it is winning the argument.

You are just as agressive as an ayatollah!

I am quite at ease with believers of any religion, atheists or agnostics.

It's only when someone claims to denigrate others, pretends to hold the moral high ground and expect to impose his views that I object.

I have seen as much intolerance among atheits than among fanatic religionists so far.

I think so.

Religions come and go; it takes some time, of course.

But the spiritual need always exists among most people.

Then you are completely deluded.

Marxism, which an atheist ideology, made its mark in the 20th century by the incredible number of people it persecuted, and executed for their beliefs.

Look no further than the Soviet Union, Mao's China, Cambodia under Pol Pot, North Korea until now: all atheist states.

Probably that the largest number of people executed were reached in atheist states: up to 60 millions under Stalin, at least 60 millions under Mao, up to 5 millions under Pol Pot, etc... All that in the name of eradicating religions at the great altar of atheism!

The Middle Age religious wars that engulfed Europe never matched those numbers, and the spread of Islam after the 8th century neither did!

Let's face it; the biggest killers have been those inspired by atheism! Care to contradict that now?
