Is atheism winning the culture war?

Barking dogs chase passing cars that they never come close to touching, and I doubt they consider the ramifications of actually catching a vehicle.

'proof of god'? and who are you to make such demand?'mentally ill cult'? WHAT are you intending to prove, yourself? Proof of God lives around you, with you. What of about the USA. Their increasing in Christianity. Doesn't that mean the most intelligent and successful country in the world is retarded.

Evidence? None's are increasing and I suspect most people realise that no god sent a prophet to Earth. USAmericans aren't stupid, absurdly argumentative perhaps.

No, it means that Religionists can function as well as the rational in a society where they aren't discriminated against. In respect to religious beliefs the USA can look as backward as Waziristan or the Middle East.

USAmericans aren't exceptionally intelligent. Remember Palin, Bachmann, Paul Broun.. the list is endless; and this.....

The USA's economic success is of course due to its stable government, peace, political and economic freedoms in a market of 300 millions (the mass of whom have English as a first language), democracy, established institutions and its secularism. With all of that and its tradition of separation of church from state, it can succeed despite religion.

The youth figures do not agree with you, not one little bit.
When the current crinklies pop off, the US will be much less religious.

It is factual Jesus Christ walked earth and was killed by Pontius Pilate. So your saying majority of U.S is not religious? Also you say you youth will not believe, your probably right seeing most dont have good role models!

There are many Christians who don't make god role models.

Only a fearful Mithra worshiper could come up with a title like "Is atheism winning the culture war?"

For a religious forum there sure are a lot of threads about atheism here on topix.

The over all impression I get from scanning these threads is fear of atheism.

Religious fanatics fear atheism simply because they fear the monster ( animal nature ) inside themselves that they feel needs to be controlled by the church in order for them to survive in a confusing world governed by a wrathful and unforgiving god.

These religious fanatics have a magic phrase to avoid dealing with their monsters. They simply say, "Satan did it", projecting their poorly understood behavior onto an imaginary deity of evil.

Religious fanatics suppress the conscious recognition of this animal nature,(the monster) in themselves and project it on to atheists and people of other faiths.

These various cults fear atheists because atheists are free to explore their animal nature,(the monster). making them unpredictable to those who feel humans are incapable of taming their own monsters.

I have noticed that the current Pope does not fear atheism so much but the Vatican still does. Interesting :)

Perhaps humanity will survive this difficult period of our adolescence as the human race!

There's always a few in a group that ruin it for everyone. Govt, sports, families and religion. I would say majority would be just fine. I trust people in my congregation more than others. Majority feel the same way. It's sad you didn't learn anything worth while at catholic school. Your poor parents can't say they didn't try.

One learns who to trust in life. My parents tried, but how were they to know there were some deranged nuns when we first attended there.

let's babble some more. Catholic education is tops, always has been. Appreciation of such depends on the individual attendee but it really makes no difference what anyone says. Babbling will have to stop as I forgot what I was gonna babble about. No consequences except a better education from Catholic schools.

Then why do atheists always champion poof marriage?
Perhaps because more and more scientific evidence is being found that proves sexuality is determined before birth just as homosexuals have been trying to say for centuries:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2008/dec/01/...

You reject reality to protect your hate and fear based belief system. Good luck with that. We can see what your kind of thinking does by studying the dark ages.

It's going to get even harder for hateful bigots like you. But don't worry, the flat earth society still has a website. I'm not sure if they let homophobes join though. But it doesn't hurt to ask :)
