I scrubbed the ranch crud, from under my finger nails, put on the pearls and diamonds, and went to an elections results party tonight. I took the Badger with me, it is his second time to watch the votes come in.

The Democratic Party managed to lay out a spread that even a 12 year old could love. Lot's of junk food, and deserts. The kid went through every emotional high and low, just as the newscasters played it out to be. I have been here, done that before, and while I never once doubted, the outcome I still could not be prouder of my fellow Americans. For the second time in a row, we have elected an actual human being to our nations highest office. Tonight the USA, has shown itself to be bigger and better, than the sum of it's parts.

What's really great is that gay marriage initiatives won in Maryland and Maine and marijuana is legalized in Washington and Colorado. As a third-party voter who voted for Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party, I have to admit I'm glad that Obama won over Romney.

Even better, I feel Schadenfreude at all the fanatical right-wing extremists who not only predicted a Romney landslide but arrogantly made it sound like Gawd was on their side. Both sides have their fanatics, but I think the Republican fanatics had the edge on flakiness, so this is gratifying...

I think that magic underwear, has been thoroughly debunked too.

This has made it concrete, we who are not lauding the magical guidance of a imaginary being have really made our voices heard.

On a side note I have been to some strip clubs where the ladies made me believe in magic thongs :))

Yes we as a national are slowly becoming more progressive and I for one am glad. Not only did Mormon Mitt lose but two states legalized marihuana!:)
