It's okay if you did. It's no less bonkers than your position.

<quoted text>I'm sorry if you were confused by what I said. The OT is complete and needs no addition or elaboration. You need to step back and take an objective look at your religion. Jesus fulfilled nothing in the OT and if you cling to your idols til the end, you're not going to make it.
Actually sound advice for any fundie. I would urge you to apply that train of thought to yourself but you won't for the very same reason she won't.(shrug)

Severe brain damage can help immensely with bible interpretation too.

In fact? The more severe the brain-damage, the better the bible appears to become.

A direct cause-and-effect, it seems.

[QUOTE who="KJV
"]<quoted text>
Main article: Number of the Beast
616 is believed by some to have been the original Number of the Beast in the Book of Revelation in the Christian Bible.[1] Different early versions of the Book of Revelation gave different numbers, and 666 had been widely accepted as the original number. In 2005, however, a fragment of papyrus 115 was revealed, containing the earliest known version of that part of the Book of Revelation discussing the Number of the Beast. It gave the number as 616, suggesting that this may have been the original.[2] Apparently the two different numbers reflect two different spellings of Emperor Nero/Neron's name, for which this number is believed to be a code.[3][/QUOTE]

Yeah... the bible is just chock-full of errors, mistakes, and deliberate lies.

No wonder it's not even a little bit divine-- no god would permit such a miss-match of stupidity as the bible, to represent it.

Already told you. Free will.
We are all gods because we are the children of the most High and are just like God. God was simply reproducing himself. God has free will and so does his creation, we were created in the image and likeness of God. Free will isn't determined until it is accomplished. One doesn't negate the other.

The God of Israel fights for them and they have proven themselves invincible. I wouldn't call the God of Israel a wus. Jesus, yes, but not the God of Israel and they are diametrically opposed. The jews have hope in the coming of their Messiah and also have hope in their death. You cannot and will not take that away from them. The Messiah is also not ashamed of his hope and will not be discouraged.

I was raised a Christian and have chosen my religion. I am no longer and really never was a Christian. I have seen countless OT prophecies fulfilled and I know it is real. The OT is definitely my reality and I'm certain the rest of it will also be fulfilled.

And it should and will be legalized, along with marijuana and other drugs. That will solve most of the problems we have with crime in the USA. The Messiah is going to empty the prisons after the wicked are cut off.

Pathetic.
I disagree. Buck is far from stupid. What keeps him from learning is a set of personality traits; stubbornness, arrogance, and a massive ego that refuses to admit that others may know as much or more than he does. All of these are obvious in his interactions with Polymath257, whose grasp of physics is probably unmatched by any of the other regular participants on the atheism forum. It's almost embarrassing to watch Buck attempt to debate PM as a peer. Sort of a geek's situation comedy, no?

Are you kidding the Messiah's greatest fans are imprisoned!

Doesn't everybody find Jesus in jail?

I expect The people incarcerated are far more anxious than you for the big comeback.

Polymath knows way more physics than I do.

Full admission.

The problem is - and this is what sparks my debate with him - he does not understand the difference in theoretical concepts and reality.

He thinks that because an imaginary "line" can have infinite imaginary "points", that an actual length, say a yardstick, can be divided into infinite segments of length greater than zero.

This is impossible.

The best mathematical minds in the world know this, and have said so.

For similar reasons, he argues for the possibility of a beginningless universe, or a universe existing infinitely in past time.

To put a cherry on top, he stated on these pages that the bacteria existing on earth are infinite, and the only test for death is putrification.

So, obviously, it is well within my knowledge grasp to challenge him.

Another admission:

I only challenge Polymath on points I know I will win.

That does not include the minutia of physics.

Jesus is a god for the wicked. The NT says he is kind to the unthankful and to the evil. Think about all the innocent people that are sitting in prison and also those that have been executed. Israel was enslaved for over 400 years but when the time was right, he heard their cry. And God hears the cry of those who have been wrongfully imprisoned and she will not forget them.

On the "massive ego".

Guilty. I was given a gift to excel at things boys dream of, with a phenom level of power and ability, and without much trying. I had beautiful girls hanging on me and guys following me around just hoping to be seen with me.

And I wasted all of it. Never got over it, though, I guess.

Oh, I know.

But he really hates it when you call him stupid.

So I call him stupid... which sets him off, and reveals his true (lack-of-)character.

Which, is directly to the point I was making.
