Atheist Islamophobia... Again

Apr 9, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Religion Dispatched

Sparked by a Richard Dawkins tweet , in which he drew a parallel between Islamists and Nazis, Nathan Lean recently suggested on Salon.com that the most famous representatives of the new atheism "flirt with" Islamophobia [echoing Chris Stedman's prescient warning to fellow atheists on RD this past August]. As the article explains, Dawkins, Hitchens ... (more)

I am not arguing the diaries-- I am arguing the photographic evidence that shows direct connection between Hitler's Nazi government, and the pope of that era.
Couple that with the total silence from the Vatican, until long after Hitler had been deposed-- they had plenty of time to make commentary about the systematic murder of the Jews-- but did not until it was clear Hitler was finished.
Then factor in the traditional history, again from Vatican city, that blamed the Jews for the death of Jesus-- a tradition that lasted for hundreds of years prior, which was responsible for anti-Jewish atrocity committed previously.
Nazism was just the culmination of a long tradition of Catholic Antisemitism.
But he's just another Catholic Apologizer, vainly attempting to excuse his ugly religion's many, MANY historical excesses....
There is much more than photographic evidence there's Hitler's own words...

Important to separate opinion from truth
I have,in fact, never read any of Dawkins' works nor have I ever heard him speak.

i wouldn't know if i agree with him or not.

I know you continually post proven lies.

Other side note several years back my wife and I took a train from Amsterdam to Koln (Cologne) Germany.

There is a stunning 13th-century cathedral there suffered 14 hits by World War II aerial bombs but did not collapse.

Although we are irreligious old church structures are always fascinating

We often hear Hitler Pol Pot mentioned in arguments

They forget that these two individuals managed to conduct a great deal of medical experiments without harming any animals

Thx Jimmy Carr. ;)

that could be, but that is not what I am talking about. ia m talking about your cult being proven to be based on myths. that the god of the abrahamic cults, and every other religious cult, is a proven myth.

you are just promoting what you know to be a lie, but that is how cults work, isn't it?

This is your opinion, as an opinion is interesting but may not be reality. We all have our own thoughts and philosophy

What ... "truth"? Magic Mormon underwear? That is "truth" to the mormons who wear it.

Would the "truth" be that women should be covered from head-to-toe? That would be "truth" to many Islamists.

Or would the "truth" be that 99% of people get "hell" after death, due to an unfortunate mix-up by the bible's god, who failed to be ... convincing as a deity.

That is "truth" to other small-minded folk, who really hate themselves, and therefore, they hate the whole world too.

Which "truth"?

I prefer reality instead of these ... ahem... "truths".

Reality is whatever is LEFT, after you STOP believing.

No, not opinion at all. proven fact.

the abrahamic cults are based on proven myths. the god of that cult is a proven myth.

why is it you cannot come up with one single fact to support this "truth" you claim? I provided you with many, many facts that disprove your "truth"...

your cult lied to you...again...

Nope, some people don't have opinions, they just copy their thoughts from a fairy story book without asking any questions.

The only people afraid here are the theist who come in here trying to lie to us about a god they have no proof of.

First site length to a newspaper stateing tha tCatholic dont want War.
Second as for Hitler speeches , Hitler keeps saying he does not want war and is a socialist. does that mean he a left wing progressive pacifist?
and as for Hitler quotes
When National Socialism has ruled long enough, it will no longer be possible to conceive of a form of life different from ours. In the long run, National Socialism and religion will no longer be able to exist together.… No, it does not mean a war. The ideal solution would be to leave the religions to devour themselves, without persecutions. But in that case we must not replace the Church with something equivalent…The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.[Hitler's Table Talk, p. 6-7]
Albert Speers pointed out Hitler would say one thing to one group and another thing to another group
Amid his political associates in Berlin, Hitler made harsh pronouncements against the church, but in the presence of the women he adopted a milder tone—one of the instances where he adapted his remarks to his surroundings.[Speer, Albert, Inside the Third Reich, Bonanza Books, New York, p. 95]
and Traudl Junge Hitler Secretary
Traudl talks about the discussions, or rather Hitler's monologues on the origin of man and religion:
http://www.cyberlizard.plus.com/Books/books_f...
He was not a member of any church, and thought the Christian religions were outdated, hypocritical institutions that lured people into them. The laws of nature were his religion. He could reconcile his dogma of violence better with nature than with the Christian doctrine of loving your neighbour and your enemy. "Science isn't yet clear about the origins of humanity," he once said. "We are probably the highest stage of development of some mammal which developed from reptiles and moved on to human beings, perhaps by way of the apes. We are a part of creation and children of nature, and the same laws apply to us as to all living creatures. And in nature the law of the struggle for survival has reigned from the first. Everything incapable of life, everything weak is eliminated. Only mankind and above all the church have made it their aim to keep alive the weak, those unfit to live, and people of an inferior kind." http://www.cyberlizard.plus.com/Books/books_f...

People who believe in any of the above nonsense will ignore 90% of the evidence that disagree with their opinion and hang onto scraps that do.
