Atheist Islamophobia... Again

There are 3765 comments on the Religion Dispatched story from Apr 9, 2013, titled Atheist Islamophobia... Again. In it, Religion Dispatched reports that:

Sparked by a Richard Dawkins tweet , in which he drew a parallel between Islamists and Nazis, Nathan Lean recently suggested on Salon.com that the most famous representatives of the new atheism "flirt with" Islamophobia [echoing Chris Stedman's prescient warning to fellow atheists on RD this past August]. As the article explains, Dawkins, Hitchens ... (more)

Ironically, the sites you call "nutjobs" have actual sources that are very reliable. Odd that you didn't actually click the links.
Yep.

He much prefers the Genuine Catholic Liars™ websites for his ... ahem... "information".

Thats why we have so many religious people posting their religious cult cr*p thinking it is the prfound piece in the puzzle to make all atheists christian.

You trolls are stupid f*cks.
Why are you against science?

I did read it. All of it-- not just the pretty (very limited) bits that YOU read.

It caused me to lose all of the faith I had had in god.

So I agree-- read the ugly bible. ALL of it--front to back.

It will >>literally<< turn you into an atheist.

It certainly worked for me!

<quoted text>Sorry, but this is a very bad misinterpretation of quantum mechanics. Yes, parallel universes is *one* interpretation of QM, but part of that interpretation is that we *cannot* go from one universe to another. In other words, your article flat-out lies about what the scientific theory says.
That is just the tip of the iceberg!

String theory, Vacuum catastrophe, big bang, spirit science, orbs, etc. all prove you wrong, very wrong!!!

There is no need anyhow.

For in the entire history of the human race?

Not ONE person has managed to show objective proof of ANY god.

Not one.

The burden of proof? As always, falls to the person making the claim.

That would be ... YOU, Mr Godbot.

<quoted text>Which in no way shows the possibility of a God. And that even though it is a wrong interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Have *you* ever actually studied quantum mechanics? Not some popularized garbage you get from a site steeped in mysticism, but that *actual* scientific theory? No, of course not. To do *that* you would have to understand algebra, calculus, differential equations, partial differential equations, Hilbert spaces, and operator theory. And that is just to get a decent overview of the subject.

Your mystical sites are lying to you. Quantum mechanics is NOT based on consciousness, the parallel universes cannot be moved between, and reality is not causal.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Physics.

You do not understand Quantum Theory, Relativity, String Theory, etc, if you do not conclude God is there!!!

You think that the three dimensions you see is all there is!

Idiots did not believe in the electricity they could not see nor measure!!!

Do you believe in electricity you do not see?

Do you believe in a higher spatial dimenssion you do not see?

Maybe the ignorant who claims the Earth is flat and there are is no God is you!!!

Science can never prove a philosophical point.
Can Science prove I should be nice to my neighbor, or I should be honest? or Faithful to my wife and family. The answer is no.
I believe the biggest "proof" that God exist is that even in countries where secularism has been promoted for long periods of time like China and France a majority still believe in God or some sort of spirit.
Fact is Atheist are right when they say belief in a God is irrational and a waste of resources, so why did all Ancient culture develope some sort of Religion. Why do a majority of people in all countries believe there something out there?
That a belief in God seems to be hardwired into a large number of people , or else why would only 8-14% of the population of China say they are atheist( Granted a far larger percentage states they have no religion , but stop short of being an atheist).
Physics already proven that mater is nothing than waves.

But what if I call those waves spirit?

Further more, what if that wave/spirit is as "alive" and "conscious" as the bunch of particles that make your body?

What if?

if a wave function defines a particle can a spirit function define a person?

Only if the characteristics of wave-particle duality are HOLOGRAPHIC AND FRACTAL!!!

Is there any "particle" holographic AND fractal?

Electron is to matter as cells is to a living body.

Are cells holographic AND fractal?

Holographic if they contain all the DNA of a living creature; nose, eye color, hair color, blood type, etc.

Do they? Does a single cell has everything needed to recreate its living source? Can we clone cells?

If the answer is yes then YOU ARE WRONG and PhD scientists are right.

Are cells fractal? Are organs made of cells? Do cell reproduce into identical cells?

If the answer is yes then YOU ARE WRONG and PhD scientists are right.

Atheists and the Hitler thing go hand in hand.
Some atheists seem the last ones who believe what Hitler said :-)

Another amusing side.

I beg to differ. I have many times and I've posted about it. The Toothe Fairy, doing 'god's' work has always left Benjamins under my pillow. That proves 'god' exists.

Yes, that "invisible" man alreay gave you instructions on how to live a fulfilling life and a preview of what is happening afte this one!
The instructions given are in the Bible.
Read it.
The bible! That's what the head banging muslims say about the koran and lets not forget the buddhists. All of life's instructions are written in a few of books, but that depends on where you were born as to which one strikes your fancy. Or I should say have it shoved down your throat. It's all a form of brainwashing, or conditioning to act in a certain way. OH, and all of those bopoks written by numerous con men. To repeat myself, there is no god and there never has been one except in the minds of superstitious, afraid of death people, that wish for something better. When your dead..........that's all there is! But if you want to waste your time and money wishing and hopeing for a life after death, then press on, your only fooling yourself.

no, sane people that have not been suckered into a cult with the promise of life after death tend to lead their lives to the fullest. they tend to do so in a more moral way than cult members also....

your bible has been proven to not be the word of any god. your whole cult is based on proven myths, including the gods they created.

The same "proof" can be applied to Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, naturally.
