Oh, so god magically kept their stomach full for 40 days and nights, as well?

Wait? How about germs? Did god give them Level 5000 germ resistance to germs for a month and a half, too?

And then, magically, did god make landbridges appear so that all the animals just ran to their new territories?

Oh, it just keeps getting sillier and sillier ... it would be much more than just 40 days. The flood would have destroyed all plant life too, so there would be nothing for herbivores to eat for a long time.

Not necessarility.

God magicked the plants into existence.

Also, God made the carnivores go without food for a year, whilst the herbivores got their numbers up.

Mental gymnastics - it is a slippery slope.

I don't even bother trying to debate people who take Noah's Ark seriously. I just write them off as another wacked-out mental case...

True. But it is entertaining to watch the mental gymnastics they go through.

No fossils in the Grand Canyon?

Perhaps you should check out their own website...

Interesting amigo.

Were they excavated or found in the exposed strata? I was under the impression that the Americanc may not excavate there? I could be wrong, though

Yo Mike

Good to see'ya

Same question as the one posed to Khat. Do you know if those were found in exposed strata or were they excavated?

Hey, DF.

Not sure. Their website says "It is illegal to dig up, relocate, and/or remove fossils from Grand Canyon National Park". But I'm guessing that this is directed at the general public.

Researching...

Ah okay. From memory I recall it illegal to dig stuff up there, but as you say, this may be aimed at the general public.

However, it is very likely that what they found it in exposed strata too.

A pity FossilBob isn't around anymore. Good question to ask the old prof.

Found this so far. Apparently digging was permitted in the past.

Bob checks in every so often. Seems his dance card is pretty full this days.

I'm in West Central Florida. Live in Lakeland and work in Tampa. Sandy was pretty much a non-event here. Too far out to sea to cause more than a strong breeze and a few showers. Thanks for asking.

Ah, useful link, thanks amigo!

Yep, then fossils have been found by excvation, it would seem.

Yeah Bob is busy, got the grandkid and the geology course he teaches.

Hell of a guy. I am very interested in Mesozoic Period paleontology and he is like an encyclopedia - never knew someone that could rattle off the names off the fossils like he did.
