First, read ALL the stories. Choose one based on reason and evidence and stop being merely the product of your environment and upbringing...

and it seems that you want the Religion Forum....

You appear to be on the Atheism Forum. Naturally, atheists tend to think for ourselves and have consequently rejected all superstitions.
Thank you for your kind replies.
Religion = superstition
Maybe, maybe not. Your ISP indicates you live in the UK, a society with a relatively high proportion of atheists. Perhaps you judge me based on indicators that could equally apply to you. How are you not the product of your environment and upbringing?

Just present some evidence that isn't confirmation bias or just has to be taken on faith. Pray to your Allah to stop ALL the killing of Jews and Muslims in Palestine. So far it hasn't worked.
I think you're missing the point. I can pray for anything, but ultimately Allah's will shall be done. Sometimes things that appear wrong are just a part of a bigger plan that ultimately leads to the greater good. Since we are not omniscient, we have no access to the future so it is best to submit to the will of Allah because he ultimately knows what is in our best interest.

I'll pray, but ultimately its in the hands of the almighty. It isn't up to me.

I hope I don't exactly 'judge you' as I don't know you. In any case, I hope I hold us both to any given standard.

Of course we are all products of nature and nurture. Science seems to have proven that much. We seem to have a different nature.

Like you, I was brought-up to respect religion and religious beliefs. I was so stongly encouraged that I read the Bible from cover to cover, parts of the Quran and didn't miss a Sunday at church before I was 16 or 17 years old. It happened to be a Christian upbringing.

The difference between us seems to me to be that I subject the religion of my parents to the same critical and objective standards as any other religion. I considered All the Abrahamic religions and all these....
http://www.godchecker.com/
from a purely disinterested point of view.

None of them stand scrutiny and all are essentially based on superstition,(e.g a prophet was sent by a god/s). Apparently, judging from your posts, we were both brought up in religious environments to some degree. We share that much.

I reject all superstition and that is where we appear to me to differ.

I have read your miserable book of death several times, any so called scientiic truth was common knowledge at the time or people today find a work in the Quran that makes something sound like something we know today, just like the bible beaters do.

So basically what happens happens regardless but you chose to attribute the good with your imaginary friend Allah.

Yeh, that's the standard answer when religious people are asked for proof of their deity. And that's why you will never convince an atheist that your god is real. Sorry but you fail just like all theists do.

But you said you weren't a Christian so bible beater shouldn't bother you in the least.

How many screen names will you be cowering behind tonight I wonder?

I think it bothers you that atheists can clearly state their stance on religion and god whereas you lack such intellectual honesty.

Well actually Yahweh/Jehovah/Allah has promised anything asked, it shall be done. Now it doesn't matter which religions coat he is wearing, he is one and the same and needs to keep his word, at least once in a manner that is verifiable.

What is humble about the threat of "a bigger plan that ultimately leads to the greater good?" Reminds me of nazism
